Platinum/Diamond Waters

So, normally we would get complimentary waters in the cabin upon arrival. I read somewhere that now you must pick up at a bar. How many of these do we get and what size of water will they be per each platinum/diamond member?

This is not the first time I'm reading of this new non-delivery system!

Makes me wonder what's up? What was the problem

with 'going home' to your cabin to find little surprises and treats?

Was the system broken somehow?
Was it too much work for the cabin stewards?
Does this now save the Corporate Bean-counters 6.3 cents per cabin?

There is a link. I think it's one bottle of water, you can have mine. I never drink it.

The nice pin you pick up at pixels.

The say schedule your chocolate gift.

Forget the other thing, but there is a link.

Currently they are still allowing you preorder items for delivery to your room, so I guess this is OK?  Haven't heard this was cancelled yet.

I can understand limiting the in and outs in your room.  We LIKE the fact that hotels are not doing room service.  When I get there I clean everything and then I know I am the only one that touched stuff from there.

I always have sanitized and wiped down my rooms when I travel, even pre Covid, so business as usual for us.

It doesn't make sense to me. I also read that if you order the case of water pre cruise that it will be in your room(delivered)  I am guessing that they hope you won't go pick up the stuff...saves a few pennies.

Oh, one more ? Are they they large bottles or the smaller regular size waters? I drink a lot of water and since you can't bring it on anymore, I might need to pre order.

Okay, I know someone will say the tap water is fine...I won't drink it.

It is supposedly to reduce the amount of times

your cabin attendant comes in your cabin!

OK so it saves the Bean-Counters 6.3 cents per cabin.

.

Oh by the way, that computer in your cabin door

-the one that also functions as a cabin door lock?...

it records the last 100 entries, whodunnit, what time,
what card was used, etc.

You can pre order both I believe.  The 12 pack is the smaller bottles and is less than $5. I do not know the price of larger bottles.

I mean the complimentary ones you pick up at the bar...which size are those.

The 12  pack you pre order for $5 are the small ones.

I think its 32 Ozs if I recall.

Honestly it probably cuts down on waste. We end up leaving them behind as I'm sure a lot of others do also. They will have to dump them after each cruise now as I doubt they are sanitizing bottles of water between cruises. In the past they probably just reused unopened bottles.

You can order and then call once on board for delivery
