We're definitely having a great time.  I haven't come right and asked about COVID but if there was an issue in our area they probably would have had my daughter take a test.

Pretty sure that's either CSO option-  a ship that did a simulated voyage and can cruise without a vaccine requirement, OR one that did not do a simulated voyage and that has a 95%+ vaccinated passenger requirement.  Both would have a conditional sailing certificate.

Please post what you all find out.....we really want to crusie, but will now take extra precautions when inside......it must be people coming in sick and not getting flagged, perhaps vac?   Maybe Carnival will require testing for all?  Always found an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.....but must be within reason....so thankful we have the Moderna shots.....

 

Hopefully they can clean the ship quickly and get those off that are the problem, but treat them with dignity.

Today is the last sea day and the shops are closed. There was someone that asked during Donkeys Q&A but he said he would talk with the gentleman after the show.  I haven't had a chance to ask anyone.

Just my daughter who's unvaccinated had to take one today. The process was well organized. Everyone had to where a mask, the seats were separated for social distancing and when people got up the chairs were cleaned.

Wow, Carnival’s handling of this seems vastly different from Celebrity. Celebrity seemed so transparent when there were cases. Of course we don’t know for sure that the Horizon has a positive case, but it sure seems suspicious with the hall closed off and now the shops closed and no real answers. I hope we do get some answers. Maybe someone boarding the next cruise can find out?

It was very difficult getting an answer but guest services said that there were a few people that worked in the shops tha weren't feeling well so they were all tested and are now isolated.

No one knows if there are any positive cases so just assuming and well assumptions are the mother of all **** ups. Carnival is following their protocols and it clearly is working. 

 

People just need to chill.

As long as Carnival can quarantine those who are either infected or at risk, then I don't see the big deal.  Some people should probably just wait until next year so they won't get so stressed out about these things.  Even vaccinated people can test positive.  Those who are fearful when someone on the cruise is quarantined or fearful of being around the few unvaccinated passengers who tested negative before boarding, should probably just wait until next year to cruise and let the rest of us live our lives.

I definitely agree with this. The protocols seem to be working and they're being proactive in their handling of the situation.  Closing the stores on the last day proves safety is a priority.

so whoever are SOME of those PEOPLE should stay home?  Right....the Royal Caribbean lady kicked off was a great example as example....I doubt everyone is as honest as I......

 

Some will do anything....we signed a contract of law and liable for lawsuits.....they are transparent....

Either they were late sending their daily EDC form, or they have had cases in order to go to yellow status.  Specifically, there would be 3 or more either on the 1st voyage or 2nd or both.  These could have been detected on land up to 5 days after the cruise.   Given the close/cleanup of some passenger space, I suspect they were not late sending their daily data to the CDC.

I was on this ship and just got home today. There was a crew member working in the gift shops that was ill. They closed the shops for the last day because of it. Word has it from others on the ship guest services told them the crew member tested negative, but they kept things closed just in case. We had a great cruise, no problems.

Considering this cruise Debarked today and the new Cruise is about to leave Miami here in a few minutes going to go out on a ledge and say, no.

Looks like another investigation has started as if today?

The last time (around the 7/16)  the CDC Ship Status said than investigation was conducted and is under observation.

I'm glad they are testing and quarantine if needed - will be a way of cruising for a while.  Other guest may be asked to leave pending they're port location.

Glad we purchased trip insurance regardless of being VAX'ed.

 

Oh well we will do all we can to have fun and use common sense.
