crdtrnr Posted August 10, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2021 I have the Cheers package for the first time. My question is regarding tips/gratuity. Do they add the 15% to the ticket, and I pay that on my SnS account? If not, which is preferable... Can I add extra to my ticket or do I tip in cash? (I really don't want to be carrying around a lot of $ ones...) Any and all info is helpful.. Thanks

You have the opportunity to tip extra on each drink you order.

I always tip an extra $1.00 per drink because they are very hard workers. You can tip the extra on the slip by writing it in and it is added to your S&S card, or you can give cash. I prefer to give cash because several bartenders have told us in the past that cash tips go directly to them and they have to split the tips left on the card. We always bring a stack of $1's to give the bartenders.

The bill will state zero dollars (if not in a US port) or the taxes due (if in a US port). The 18% grat was added when you purchased the package. You may add extra, of course, and we always do. popeyesChickenSandwich Posted August 10, 2021 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2021 Gratuity is included. BUT throwing them a dollar or two definitely goes a long way with the level of service you get.
kdr69 Posted August 10, 2021 #8 Share Posted August 10, 2021 Cheers is going to be pricey for my 14 day Celebration TA. Going to run me about 2100.00 for two people but with 7 sea days i think i will break even. maybe. well hopefully. 😁 1

I don't tip extra for every drink, especially for standard service. I do add extra once I find a bartender who is really attentive and goes the extra mile. I always add at least $1 or more for every DOU in the casino. We do search out those special bartenders that have taken care of us throughout the cruise on the last day with a special extra tip.
