Seaday on the way to BCN, formal night.

Some shower to clean deck underway....

Way to hot within the sun.

Main drawback of seaside class, nearly no shade, but with the cabanas on Seaview it's a bit better, if you are able to get one....,even on Aurea deck 19 are some

Thanks again! Looks better than what I thought.

However, no GPS data in the uploaded pictures... any chance pointing out the beach on Google Maps? Your picture library on your phone should be able to do the trick.... sorry for asking, but I am soooo curious 🙂

Meeting took place.

She made a lot of notes and promised to move this issue forward to headquarters and DE market leader.

She said, if I'll smell smoke again, I've to call her directly and she will come imidiately, at any time.

 

Our right hand neighbors moved smoking from Balkony to inside stateroom.

Wife told me, as the door opens unbelievable smell was coming out....don't know if hefty smoker smell so much that in the end the total room stinks, without smoking inside this room..

 

She said they has the following policy

first time warning

Second time penalty not mentioned the exact numbers, but above 200€

Third time End of cruise at next port

I recall reading about an extra cleaning Fee for the cabin if someone has been smoking inside it.

Terms & Conditions....

 

Violation of non-smoking rules will result in a US$250 deep cleaning fee and may lead to further action. Smoking in non-smoking areas can ultimately lead to disembarkation.

Hi Markus,

thanks for posting the YC menu. Unfortunately it seems the YC menues are exactly the same in all YC ships and repeat every 7 days. Our YC elegant dinner menu today and tonight on Seaview is exactly the same as the Seashore one. On 4.9. we do our next YC cruise on Splendida and the menu very likely will be exactly the same again. Hopefully the quality will be better than on Seaview.

 

This repetitive and fleetwide aligned menu with ignorance to local specialities is really disappointing. This is far from premium and luxury. MSC apparently really don‘t appreciate repeaters.

Don't break the ship Markus, I will board in exactly two weeks! 😁

 

Marine Traffic also showed she docked at about 8AM so I hope everything is okay.

Speed was reduced at 4.30 AM from 16-17knots down to 2-3knots within 1 hour. Then speed increased to almost 22knots which is a good sign.

 

Internet was fast because at this time, most people sleep so you have it all yourself 🙂

You are right.we arrived BCN about 15 min late...

 

Was a strange experience, emergency lights within stateroom only, but music and full light in hallways.

 

No further noise on ship....nothing....only very little fume and because no ship movement looks like fog around.

Please keep us updated what happened. I expect the sea wasn't rough during the night? Cause this could be an issue that can cause the power shutdown.

 

Regarding music und full light: remember the Titanic? SCNR 😉

Officers do not talk what happened...the only info they give is. We had an power outage, that's it...

 

 

The ship may have returned using the SRTP system. (Safe return to port)

Butchers..,.hmmm

I've had the goat cheese cake, very good.

To be honest, beef quality of filet is better on YC pool grill.

There is a new pesto like souce, green, little bit spicy.

I've had an the NY...not the best cut at all this time.

 

One more comment on the butler.

As we have 2 suites, we have 2 different butlers.

Ours, I don't like to remember the name.....

Everyday is something different missing.

Today all towels in bathroom at downturn.

Afternoon the Goody's, today some salmon ....

The other, I've to make a picture of her to recommend. Friendly, perfect, helpful,  even for us ....

If I try to upload more than one picture connection is lost.

 

Internet ist so poor....I believe ok now the reason...inside the MSC app not only text message can be shared, looks like picture and video works as well....

Disappointing to hear about Butchers. I was looking forward to it when I am on the Seashore in November.
