JasperCruiser Posted August 31, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2021 Currently I have myself and my wife in one cabin and my mother-in-law and our son in an adjacent cabin. It looks like my mother-in-law may be heading for a back surgery due to a recent injury and may need to drop out. We cruise in January on Harmony of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. We have only paid our deposits and not yet paid the cruise in full. I wonder if I could find another adult relative to come cruise with us and fill the space? I'm really not worried about money... I'm just trying to put another responsible adult in the room with my son so mommy and daddy can have a little alone time if we wish.
HicksRA Posted August 31, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2021 Yes, you can change passengers as long as one person stays the same.
firefly333 Posted August 31, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2021 Name changes should be np. The only thing I'd worry about is if your child isnt connecting cabin or across the hall, he may not be allowed to sail so names might need to be moved around. JasperCruiser Posted August 31, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted August 31, 2021 We are not in connecting cabins but we are side-by-side.

It doesn't have to be a connecting cabin the children need to be in, only a nearby one. Edited August 31, 2021 by robtulipe
SRF Posted September 1, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2021 How old is the child? I have traveled with my parents. And I am "the son" even when I was over 50. 😄
broadwaybaby123 Posted September 1, 2021 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2021 Shouldn't be a problem. Years ago, I roomed with my grandmother in an adjacent cabin (I was only 8 at the time) and we had no issues. Things may have changed since then, but usually a call to the cruise line can solve that. Rare brillohead Posted September 1, 2021 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2021 Yes, you can change grandma's spot to someone else's with no problem. Rooms don't need to be connecting, just adjacent, for minor child to not be in the room with a parent.
