VIFP color change!

My husband and I should hit gold status half way through this cruise.  However, our boarding passes already list us as gold.  That was a surprise.  So will we in fact, get gold sail and sign cards?  Not that there are any gold perks to write home about, but heck! I'll drink that free bottle of water just to say I did.

Yes, you change colors for the whole cruise where you hit the milestone number.  Happy drinking!

Hahaha dont forget now you have to go to a bar to pick up that free bottle of water. I never got mine.

Oh I'm going to! And on the way I'm going to try and get the sun to glint off my shiny gold card into people's eyes so they'll look around trying to find the glare and notice my new card!!  🤣

Lucky you! I turn gold halfway through my cruise and they still have me listed as red. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You will be gold. This just happened to me I was turning gold at some point during the cruise I am on now currently and I got a gold sail & sign card. As stated above, you can go to any bar for your free bottle of water. Go to the Pixels photo gallery to get your ship pin.

Finally hitting platinum on our October 2nd cruise, looking forward to that!  We're also hitting the new level mid-cruise!

You'll get a real free drink, too. Good for the last sea day after 5:00pm to make up for no longer being invited to the past guest party I believe it was for.

I'm waiting for the new color they choose for whatever might come after the white diamond card.  Maybe when I've spent a year's worth of days on Carnival ships?

It will not change online until you sail but your Sail and Sign will be gold with gold perks.

On the Sept 4 Mardi Gras, we picked up our "perked" large 1.5L bottles of water from 2 different bars.

They did have the big bottles of water, 2 for sale in my cabin.

 

Forget the name of the stuff people who jo drink, but they only had orange flavor in stock. 

 

T shirts slim pickings. Someone saw one the week before, sorry, we didnt get a t shirt shipment to restock. Didnt look hard but only carnival logo and didnt have my size.

 

Womens small face watches. I wanted a new one from citizens eco drive. Only had one. And it had fake jewels around the face and band, but I got it. Mine is getting old and last year replaced battery for 65 plus tax. Better to replace. 

 

I'd have liked a few tee shirts. That dont say carnival. 

 

Dont expect large selections. 

 

Took me 4 days to find a employee working in pixels to get my pin. People were disappointed in generic pin, doesnt even have the ship name. People who had past pins were especially disappointed. These were not as pretty as before. Smaller and plainer.

So I have a dumb, post Covid perks question.  Not that I cared so much but in the old days I remember getting our free water in our cabin (as evidenced by the little complimentary tent on it as opposed to a $3.95 sign) as well as a little coupon for our free last night drink.  Neither happened for us in August.  No biggie but is there a new POST Covid technique?  Like is our free drink somehow listed on our App?  Thanks.

You have to pick up your water at any bar onboard. The free drink is valid the last sea day after 5:00pm. I believe your account is credited for the drink, there is no longer a paper coupon.

Oh that would be nice if the account was credited for the drink.  We will have cheers so the free drink was kind of moot point.

It will not be an extra $5.  You have to tell the server it is your VIFP drink, they ring it in, balance of $0.00 and have you sign the slip.

I can probably make up for the lack of a gaudier fan by asking the bar tender in a loud carrying voice if this is the water bottle specifically issued for the GOLD perk, not just a normal water bottle.

On Pride, the casino bar and Alchemy would not give the free water.  Alchemy directed me to "any other bar" and Casino Bar directed me to Atrium Bar, where I finally scored that oh-so-elusive H2O.
