Yes, as they are instructed to do by Carnival and its Brand Ambassador John Heald who has advised guests to do for years.

This^^^. I'm not sure why people get apoplectic over the room service trays being there. Carnival staff literally instructs you to do that. I called room service back on our last cruise to ask how they'd like us to handle the tray and dining pieces. Told us to set it outside the door.

... I believe ships that sail out of Texas can't even sail liquor till they're three miles out at sea ( I may be wrong here)...

See Booze and Texas thread on the Gulf Coast Departures forum for the correct information.

We don't get apoplectic.
Just think it's disgusting, untidy and it invites carpet accidents.

How very gauche/gross!

Personally, my wife or I would have to be very sick to consider eating in the cabin.
That's what Lido Deck is for -or the MDRs.

I'm very glad to know you have found ways to enjoy your preferred dining options, as others have with the offered room service. 🙂

Platinum and Diamond cruisers get $25 just for asking at the casino cashier.

On Panorama last week I asked for my $25 cash and was told I could only get it on my account as casino free play. When I said on the Miracle they give cash I was told: 'They use a different system than we do and they have to give cash. They don't have the option to provide free play like we do on this ship.' YMMV depending on which ship you sail.
