where to store luggage

We are flying from the UK to Newark the night before our cruise, we will take a taxi to a hotel and stay overnight, not sure what hotel yet.

 

My question is when we dock on return we have about 8 hours to kill before our flight to the UK, not a problem as I can do some shopping, but, what can we do with our luggage?  any ideas?  thank you

Where are you cruising from?

 

If you are cruising from and back to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal its easy-- just find a nice hotel for breakfast and they will look after your bags for the day and then retrieve them and take a taxi/Uber to Newark. 

 

If its from Cape Liberty (which it sounds like it might be) it's more difficult. You generally wont be able to check the bags in early at the airport-- typically 4 hours prior to departure is the earliest. There is a full service Marriott on airport property that is walking distance to the terminals-- if you do something similar to what I recommended above like have breakfast/lunch/drink there they will most likely store your bags for a bit. 

 

Being on airport property though you are going to be taking a bunch of Ubers (the New Jersey taxis are not very desirable) to get to or from any shopping, which in this case will mean one of the large shopping malls nearby.

Cruise is from Cape Liberty.  Does any of the shopping malls have luggage storage?  I don't care which shopping mall I go to, but, dragging around 2 suitcases will not be much fun   thank you
