Carnival Spirit Drydock in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

From approximately 20th October 2021 till the 7 Nov 2021 the Carnival Spirit went in to dry dock in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to receive her new paint job.

I have often wondered but never asked !! Where the ships sit on the blocks , which I presume are always the same spots,  do those areas never get cleaned or painted during these dry docks ?

However they must have some way of dealing with it otherwise the integrity of the hull cleaning would be compromised.
