I didn’t feel like it was any bigger than vista class. I think what they have there is more breakfast options. Not just Buffet and MDR but Shaqs, Emerils, Java Blue…i think guys has breakfast on that ship though I never made it up there in the morning. Unless they changed it I know I saw a breakfast menu before the ship launched.

I'd heard there may be breakfast at Guy's on MG but when we tried one morning it wasn't open. I didn't notice a breakfast menu and can't remember if it was a sea or port day. I did love going to Blue Iguana for a breakfast burrito though!

Maybe they decided not to do it. This is what it was supposed to be.

Alrighty then, I guess that you could say I had an interesting day in Roatan... I had agreed to meet my driver at 9:00 local time, 10:00 ship time. I left the ship early to make the long walk "over the hill" if you've ever been here before. They ended up having Hennessy Pure White in the duty free shop, so I picked up a couple of bottles, just to make lugging this checked bag all this way. I went to exit the port, and began the long walk up the big hill, then down the other side.

They only allow local operators to pick up outside of the port, but they can drop you off inside afterwards.

I was looking for Jessica, and I didn't see any female drivers around. A guy came up to me and said that they ended up taking a larger group, but he could take me. I was, of course, skeptical, but there were definitely no female drivers around. He asked where I wanted to go, and how much the other company quoted me. I told him, and he said he would take me for $10 less...

MDR looks like my high school cafeteria

Both of the MDRs on MG look look just like cafeterias. I think it has more to do with the chairs than the tables. At least the tables don't look as drab when they are set but they can't do much with those chairs other than to replace them.

So, we walk over to a dirt parking lot, and jump into an unmarked small SUV, and we were off. Honestly, almost immediately I started thinking to myself "did my other driver actually leave?"... And, "maybe this guy is going to drive me across the island and rob me, and leave me there" (or, worse)...

So, we were definitely headed in the general direction of the place I requested, so that was good... We were for sure going fast for the conditions on the windy road, and the tires were screeching. We soon pulled over to a gas station, and he said that I should give him ten dollars for gas. I knew that the place we were going was pretty far away, so it wasn't a big deal. We continued until the good road turned to bad road. The bad road eventually turned to a gravel road, which was correct. Eventually, we did arrive at Camp Bay, and the La Sirena restaurant / bar that I intended to go to. It was only about 9:30 local time when we arrived, which was before opening. There was one guy there, Randall behind the bar. He said that the cook didn't get there for awhile, but I could have a drink... He mixed me up what appeared to be a definitely very strong rum punch, with at least four, maybe five types of rum... I started drinking it, and exploring the general area, which was in the middle of nowhere. It's pretty much as far as you can get from the cruise port without falling off in the ocean.

Like I said, the place is pretty rustic... The drink was strong, and I was feeling good, as it was only 10:30 in the morning ship time. The cook still hadn't shown up yet, but I was on island time. We were far, far away from the port, but it was still very early. I started at least feeling like this guy wasn't going to harvest my organs... We  took a ride further down to the very end of the dirt road, where you couldn't go any further. He picked up a local lady and her kids who were walking to work down the road. We dropped them off, then went back to the restaurant...

I think he definitely stole Jessica's customer. Sounds like it probably worked out if he gave you a deal. From my experience there those non-union drivers over the hill will say anything to get you in their car.

There were hummingbirds flying around everywhere. I mean at least twenty or thirty of them. The bartender makes a special blend of sugar water just for them...

Did it take a little of the sanitizer first?  😉

A few other customers showed up, and they appeared to American ex pats... They were smoking some cigarettes that definitely didn't come from the local store, and I might or might not have had a couple too.

One guy, it turned out, used to live in Atlanta close to where I live now. He moved his entire family down there to escape what America has been devolving into these past several years. We talked about different places that are around, and many that aren't around anymore. It strange to come all this way, and end up running into someone who used to live in my neighborhood. Pretty soon, some other guys showed up in a small boat, and it was a party at this point... Local beers were served all around, and soon my lunch that I came all this way for finally arrived. Lion fish two different ways. One grilled with garlic, and the other fried.
