I enjoyed a chicken sandwich at Shaq’s for embarkation lunch because the chicken and fries were great, plus there is outdoor seating there, just in front of the infinity pool with the aft view.  It was just different enough from other ships to be a hint of the features of the MG, a good start to the cruise.

Beautiful and busy day at Port Canaveral. Easy to see why you might get confused here. Mardi Gras, Casino Gambling Boat and a freighter offloading cargo, all in the same vicinity. Make sure you get on the right one. Although, that cargo ship is headed to Marrakesh. Be an interesting journey.

Can’t miss Mardi Gras, it’s on the end all by itself and it stands out!

I'm showered and pretty much ready to roll out right now... Only, my check in time isn't until 11:00, so I've got a little more time to kill. I'll probably walk down to the Racetrack and buy a bottle of water to begin hydrating for the day... Next stop: the Carnival Mardi Gras!!!

I walked North from the hotel, until I came across this.. looks like my all time favorite ship is in Port today with us: the Norwegian Escape...

The Escape is my favorite as well.  Have a great cruise on the Mardi Gras.  She looks amazing!

We will be boarding Mardi Gras next Saturday, 12/4, between 12:00 - 12:30. Assuming that Uber gets you to the right vessel, how painless was the boarding process? Seems there are good times and bad from previous reports. Hopefully, your experience is a pleasant one. Just a quick mention would be appreciated.

Plans once on board: purchase Cheers and premium WiFi plan. Find Shaq's Big Chicken for some lunch. Once rooms are ready: unpack and get the party started!...

Don't forget your Muster station check-in. See the source image

There are two huge bus's out front loading luggage and cruise passengers... I could probably save a few bucks by going that route, but I hate having my bags chucked and piled into the cargo bay. An Uber will set me back a bit more, but I'll enjoy it rather than be herded like cattle. I'll save the cattle herding for when I arrive...

I looked at the clock in the room and it said 10:46, so I grabbed my stuff and ran out. When I got downstairs and opened my phone, it was really 10:22, so false alarm. I'm locked out now, because I left my hotel keys inside. I guess that I'm just going to head on over there a little bit early...

Each time they call a group, I move ten feet closer to the tunnel. By the time they call B5 I should be at the entrance.

Can you hear it in there? When I was there you couldn't hear what they were saying. Workers were having to hold up their fingers. Sounded like the speakers were outside or something.
