Here is the breakfast room service menu.

Thank you!  That's an excellent room service breakfast menu.

Maybe as a challenge for them, either as a dining room or room service request, if you would care to do so:  is Gauva Juice or Papaya available?

@WNcruiser I am really enjoying hearing about your cruise.  I have been seriously considering trying Seabourn and now am pretty convinced that I will make it happen.  Since I usually sail as a solo, I want to see if there will be any reduced single supplement cruises offered.  Right now I'm still in a holding pattern before booking until more ports around the world open up. (South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia particularly)  Your review is really helpful and seeing the pictures from your balcony make me so nostalgic!  Continue to enjoy!

Thank you,

~Nancy

I tried to post last night but the internet was nonexistent. After an hour I gave up. Had a nice day In St Barts but it was very hot and humid.

There was a fantastic Caribbean lunch in colonnade yesterday with lots Of interesting dishes and a whole roasted pig. The show last night was Stage & Screen and was very good, don’t miss it if you are sailing soon.

We just arrived in Dominica. It is the only “ship tour only” port so another lazy pool day for us. We are really enjoying knowing the majority of the crew and passengers, it’s like a big family. Anytime we are at the pool, the show or a restaurant we see several people we know and start talking.

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Thank you Nancy I’m so glad you find it helpful. We have met several solos on board. Last night at TK Grill there were two solos at a hosted table next to us. With so few guests it’s easy to meet people if you would like.

Just catching up with this thread. Our last SB cruise was March 2020, on the sister Encore, were thrown off the ship half-way through our Australia cruise 😟

1.  If the bed is too hard, you can ask for a topper to make it softer

2.  SB used to have coffee and pastries, juice available very early in the morning in the very quiet Observation Lounge.  Do they still do that?  I preferred getting my coffee there, to avoid even  the short lines in SB Square (when the ship was full) and the horrific sounds of the coffee machines (too early in the morning for me to listen to that).

3.  Can you still ask for caviar (comes with nice appropriate sides) to be delivered to whereever you want, whenever you want (complimentary?).  It is not on any menu, you have to ask.  With champagne, of course.

I will check if they have coffee in the observation lounge. YES on the caviar. You can get it anytime you want thru room service.

@WNcruiser

thank you for your daily posts and the photos of the menus

when you boarded, were you escorted to your suite?  I know there were doing that on some other cruises in Europe.  Thank you

Your welcome! We were not escorted to our suite. It was extremely low key, even a little odd that we boarded and there wasn’t a soul anywhere. Once we had our photo taken by security we walked on to what appeared an empty ship.

I am really enjoying your posts.   Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.  We will board the Ovation on Dec. 10 for the 32 day cruise  and I am wondering if there are chairs to wait in the terminal if we are too early to be signed in.  We will be dropped off by our son about 2 hours before our assigned boarding time.  Will they allow us inside the terminal if early?  And, if so, is there a waiting room with rest room there?   This is our first time on Seabourn, so your info is very helpful.    Love your pics!

Your personal yacht?  That would have to be a very unique sensation for a cruiser!

Early riser coffee and pastries from 6-8 AM in the observation lounge.

Thanks Holly. We left out of Terminal C and are scheduled to return to Terminal D. There was only seating after you cleared security and the vaccine card/negative test check.

We arrived an hour before our check in time as we drove and left a safety net for traffic. No one ever asked us our boarding time or questioned us when we checked in. As I said earlier we were the only ones there. We saw one other couple ahead of us at the passport check in and that was it!

You will be leaving when I return so I can’t comment on Terminal D. Hopefully they have seating for you if you are getting there early afternoon.

I'm really enjoying your posts through the eyes of a first-timer on Seabourn. Seabourn is a great fit for us! We'll be on your ship for our third Seabourn cruise - this time through the Panama Canal in January.

We had such a great day today! After our normal routine Of breakfast outside on deck 9 and sitting in the hot tub for a while, we spent a couple hours at the pool.

At 12:45 we went down to the club on deck 5 and signed up for the banana boat ride. It was a beautiful day and they opened up the marina for banana boat rides, kayaks, sail boats and “the couch” which is a 3 person raft you lay in. We spent almost 2 hours riding all the toys. It was the most fun we have had on a ship in years.

After dinner at Earth & Ocean (disappointing again) we headed to the Billy Joel tribute. Such a fantastic show. I am really impressed with the entertainment, I wasn’t expecting much but am really enjoying most of the shows. Jonathan sang and played piano for an hour and was awesome.

Heading to bed as we have to get up early for our tour in Antigua tomorrow. I wish I had better pictures for you but couldn’t take my phone on the water E463F7DB-E5CA-46A3-8FF3-0F1AE5C6C9DC.thumb.jpeg.dbb0a4ae72529e5b672f97b74e557eee.jpegBC6AB8AF-E94F-4CBB-8BBB-CE2795A31CCF.thumb.jpeg.dd3b912d83c292a30271331d6354993b.jpeg5EAC4B19-25EA-4357-8A0B-0B06D408D365.thumb.jpeg.ab1fa240d74d0e34d22a42c96636131c.jpeg

Here is a picture of the marina for those that haven’t seen it before. Loaded with water toys, life jackets, snorkel gear and helmets. That’s cruise director Chris on the left and Staff Captain Stefan behind him.

It was very easy getting in to and out of the rides. They are very helpful and careful. BEEC995C-9AA4-4B6F-858D-1D45FBDCCE58.thumb.jpeg.8794bdea4a9779ba1f12e011b94abe1c.jpeg
