Have you played the casino lottery on a cruise?

We have played a couple times but never one and dont know of anyone that won.

I have done some of their scratch offs and have had some small winners.  Just like at home I never have any luck with lottery or scratch offs.

I used to play Buckeye 5, a 5 number games and never had all 5 numbers drawn at any one time, but have had 4, 3, and 2 numbers drawn on occasion.  Seeing that the ship's lottery was a 5 number game, I began playing until I figured out the odds of winning were significantly less than winning Buckeye 5.  I have no luck with scratch offs either.  When the pandemic began and we were told to "stay home", I stopped playing the lottery, have not re-started, and don't miss it.

I think I've done maybe 30 scratch-offs on Princess for a grand total of... nada. The EV on the pick-5 lottery is also at a miserable rate, so I skipped on that entirely.

About 5 years ago my husband bought a couple 5 dollar scratch offs on a Norwegian cruise and won 1000. When we cashed it in we were expecting to be paid out right away. It took 4 days to get the money. They said they had to get approval and it should take a day. Everyday we went down for the money and they kept saying soon soon. They wanted my husband to take a picture because he was their first big winner but we declined because of the time it took. If they were up front in the beginning and said it may take a couple days that would’ve been different. It definitely made us feel like it was fake for a bit there but we did eventually get paid out.

My mother hit $2000 on the NCL Gem years ago. I have won diddly-squat on the lottery but I did get 8 quick hits while she was getting paid on the lottery ticket so we were both winners that day.
