When you get off the tender, the tour salesmen will swarm you, offering all sorts of tours, including the glass-bottom boats to the Arch (with stops at Lover's Beach, the sea lion rocks and Medano Beach).  No reservations needed, and there are dozens of boats giving the rides.  

 

If you have a reservation, you would need to find which of the boats is yours.  Instead, you just negotiate a fare with any of the salesmen and let him escort your group to the boat he has a deal with.  $10 to $15 per person should be good.

That is why I don't like the Marina area.  It's almost uncomfortable for me at times with the repetition of offers. 

 

Parts of Medano Beach are the same.

Sys, welcome to Mexico!  Aggressive salesmanship  is the norm.  But a smile, a wave and a simple "no, gracias" is all it takes!  It does get tiresome quickly, but it is part of the charm (I guess).

When we are in Mazatlan in a couple weeks, I would like to go to Stone Island but also hike up to the lighthouse. Is the lighthouse walking distance from the ship—we are in good shape—and is it in the same direction as the boat to Stone Island?
