The Rotterdam's inaugural cruise was in October 2021, so I'm not sure what cruise you are referring to when you say "several months ago".  Anyway, what happened IS relevant  because HAL changed the wording to clarify their policy, in order to benefit booked passengers.  Isn't that a good thing ?

Cru 1853 re viewing the pictures--I get a black frame when I click on the picture link; it has a tiny icon in the middle.  I click on that icon and the picture opens.  He submits them through facebook????  I don't know.

If you follow Jeff's blog, he has mentioned testing aboard ship each week as he did a lot of B2Bs. He may discuss how it was handled for the change in ships when he posts again.

Thank you so much Copper for the fun and informative blog!  We were supposed to leave yesterday, January 2nd on the K-Dam, but had a family emergency.  We re-booked for April 13th on the Z-Dam.  Hope to meet you on that cruise.  Blessings and a million thank-yous for restoring my faith in cruising during covid.
