Thank you for sailing offer combined with Casino Offer??

I received a Thank you for sailing with us offer of some OBC about two weeks after my last sailing.  I just tried using it with a Casino Offer but the HAL rep says that they cannot be combined.  Has anyone been able to do this recently??  The Offer was for a free cabin but I paid to upgrade it to a higher level cabin.

I wasn't able to use any other type of offer with my free cabin in November. I used Club Orange to upgrade my cabin but no other HAL offers were available with that type booking. Casino discount, yes, free cabin, no.

 We weren’t able to receive the Thank You on our Casino Offers or add any other Promos.

I was not able to use the Welcome Back offer on my casino fare either. I asked and was told no.

Pretty sure there's a difference between a casino discount and a casino promotion.  

 

Whenever we've booked using our casino discount (which has been anywhere between $300-600pp) I've been able to combine other promotions with that discount

 

Casino promotions are a whole different category and such a deep discount, I don't think you can combine with anything else.

Thanks to everyone for thier input.  I did double check with my PCC before finalizing my booking and she said the same thing - not being able to add it to my casino offer (but I could if I used the casino discount approach).  Still a great deal though!

I understand the not being able to combine the thank you offer with a free cruise off from the casino.

 

Just curious if anyone else who receives a free cruise offer would be interested in being able to purchase additional promos? 
 

I for one would be interested in the possibility of purchasing the Have It All promotion at a reasonable price.  On an upcoming trip I have Club Orange as part of my free cabin and have purchased it for my second leg, so I can have mimosas with breakfast. I am entitles to free drinks in the casino, which is where I will likely end up most evenings. It does not make sense to purchase a drinks package, so I will just purchase wine packages which will include my mariner discount.

 

I would be willing to pay for the convenience of a drinks package but not at full price. HAL could guarantee more income from me if they offered a casino guest a package that included drinks, wifi, and specialty dining. 
 

how much would you be willing to pay for something like this?
