Hello fellow Carnival Cruisers!  Any recommendations for hotels to stay in in Tampa?  Either near Airport with free airport shuttle (to hotel from Airport) or near the port with free shuttle to port on day of embarkation?  Many thanks!

I looked through that long list Cole recommended, whew not seeing a too much info on Embassy Suites.

Check out Embassy suites at the port.

I stayed there last year. It was a solid choice! For the location, price, size of room, included breakfast, it was all-around a good choice for me.

I am not one to worry about "free shuttles". Don't pay $200 more for a room because you wanted to "avoid" a $9 Uber.

Agree, and we loved the location and surrounding area. CVS was just across the bridge for last minute supply's.

Stay where you want - a taxi from the TPA airport and nearby hotels to the port is only $25 - and UberX should be under $20.

Lots of hotels in the Westshore area near the airport (I like the Embassy Suites there) with nearby dining/shopping.  Rocky Point area is more upscale (I like Chase Suites) or stay near the port at the Marriott or Embassy Suites (both are almost walking distance to the port).

We stayed at the Embassy Suites downtown. The TECO stops right outside the hotel and we rode it to the port.

How did that go with handling your luggage?  I was thinking about doing that, but am a bit concerned with lugging all our stuff.  How far a walk from the drop off to the pier?  We are staying at Embassy Suites as well. TIA
