Benny, thank you so much for your wonderful review.  I have been silently following...hoping to get on Oasis for the first time next March.  Your pictures are amazing and really appreciate you sharing them.  Looks like you've had such a great first leg.  Will look for your review of the next week.  Must be a nice feeling knowing that you can still enjoy the ship for another week.

Welcome aboard the virtual cruise!  Glad you enjoyed it!!  It was kind of nice last night not to have that getting off the ship the next day feeling.  I think by the end of this week I will be ready to head back home so I probably won’t have that feeling either plus I am coming back to the beautiful Oasis of the Sea in March doing a consecutive cruise with the Jewel of the Sea 😝 so that soften the blows a bit!

Love the flowrider.  Grab a drink and go watch for a while.  It is a lot of fun to watch the falls.  Also, the back of the ship and the bar back there provides one of the better views on the ship.

I was told that this was a casino certificate cruise so the casino was some what busy probably 30 to 40 percent full.  Three to five tables full at most.  The dealers usually just sit around looking bored.

They do charge 5% if you are not prime or above but they also have ATM.  So if you are drawing anything over $100.00 you might want to use the ATM.  If you just want to play $20.00 and leave then room charge will cost you just a buck!

We are expecting 3600 people today with 250 back to backers.

Just for info you can charge cash to your room on a slot machine and not pay the 5% fee.  Then just cash out the slot ticket.

I've really enjoyed this and I've just "followed" your follow-up. I hope you have as good a time as you did on this one. At least you won't need to worry about snow storms preventing you from boarding this time round!

Day 7

So chatting with the supervisor that is charge of Park Cafe and Giovanni’s Table, we were told that they do feed the owl with meat and there are lizards that the owl feed on as well.  There is a Facebook group dedicated to the owl but I can not find it.

Do they have a name for the owl?  If so - the group on FB could be under that name.

I have heard Romano but I also heard Oasis Owl of the Sea but either it’s unexpected to see an owl on a cruise ship!

I heard there was a Marathon that caused a slight traffic delay for sooner cruisers but nothing major!

Day 7

We did spot an owl this morning from our balcony!  Wow!  The legend is real.  Do they feed this owl?  What does the owl eat?  I am worried for the owl.  He looks kind of skinny!

@BennyBrun, I’ve really enjoyed cruising along with you on this first leg of your B2B! Thank you very much for allowing all of us to cruise along with you. I have to say I thought I took a lot of pictures, but clearly you’re got me beat - and these are just the ones you posted.

I didn’t quite make my goal of catching up on this portion of your review before you started on leg 2, but at least I’m close. I’m heading right over to leg 2 now so I don’t fall so far behind again! 😀

I will have to keep that in mind!  We like the Anthem but I always feel that the quantum class ship has an identity crisis.  Not big enough for all the Oasis features but too big for a cozy ship feeling.  It is a beautiful ship!  You might want to check onboard to see if the pricing and the onboard benefit is better when you get on the Oasis.  They also offer OBC when you book onboard too!

Thanks for the heads up.  Greetings from Mardi Gras.  It's turn around day.  Finally got cell service.  Passed my test yesterday so we're good for another week.  When I get home I will post a review.  Great week one, expect the same this week. Had 4700 on last week, about 75% capacity.
