Unfortunately I sat next to a lady at dinner time who complained about the strawberry trifle.  They used strawberry jello, cake and whipped cream in the trifle cup instead of strawberry jam.  I am used to the creative description on the menu and if I don’t like something I will either order something else or not eat it.  Not her, she made a point to tell the server that this is not a traditional trifle (the server does not even know what is a trifle other than what’s on the menu) he tried to offer her something else but she went on about a traditional trifle and said she will just eat the rest of her husband’s dessert and told him no.  You can’t win them all !  That will

probably be on the survey they fill out.

Heres the biggest laugh of the evening… the “bouncer” at the door said to me this is for 18 and Over only and was not going to let me in plus you need a reservation.  I said I am really old 😂 and would like to go stand by, she asked for my key to looked up my age and she started the OMG laughing and let me through without a reservation 😝 

Story of my life!  I am a grandmother at this point and still get carded at the liquor store. 🥴

Welcome aboard the virtual cruise!  I truly love Adventure of the Sea.  I love Giovanni’s Table on adventure and of course Izumi (they do not have hibachi on that ship) and Chops (again we tried Chops but did not care for it that much, the steak was better at Giovanni’s Table).  During the smoking days in the casino, we would sit at Izumi and watch the smoke coming up from below like a chimney ( open staircase down to the casino from Izumi) it was wild.  Good times!  Smaller ship but still fun!  Lots of players at Casino Royale hence the smoke plume.

 

I assume you are going to Bermuda?  Or the early Canada cruise?  We thought about that but Oasis is coming back to NJ in May so we will just Uber over and get back on the Oasis again in  May.

Thanks for the heads-up on UPD on Adventure, particularly the smoke from the casino flowing up to Izumi. We love sushi but will need to plan our seating away from the fumes...

 

Actually been trying to get back to eastern Canada after 15+ years, it was a great trip back then, and looking forward to escaping the September heat and humidity here in Florida.😝

That sounds like a fun trip!!!  It does not bother us and that was before Covid where the ship is packed and the casino is packed every where was pretty much packed.  Now you probably don’t have to worry about it so much and if if cigarette smoke is the ONLY health and safety thing we have to worry about onboard then I will be very happy about cruising!

Hahahah… imagine your surprise when you stumbling in after a day of drinking with your wife and you see the cake and you are thinking … yikes did I forget her birthday and this is her passive aggressive way of telling me I forgot … is there still time to get to EFFY Jewelery? 😂

Fitness center … the mask enforcement is very non existent.  Not judging just reporting.  The crew would not say anything, but officers that walk through would tell people that are obviously ignoring the rules to put it one and the fitness instructors.  Pretty much people that don’t have to worry about the survey would enforce it selectively.

You come across as a very talented individual......and one who really enjoys cruising a lot.  Living vicariously thru you right now as we are unable to cruise since we are not vaccinated.

The value cruise continues… the onboard account remains at $0.00 ( I am not counting the onboard gratuities those are very very important and I do not consider that as extra spending).  MDR Lunch Today

I walked down the steps and passed deck 6 and I saw a lady putting on her protective suit with a hazmat bag what looks like testing equipment.  She was definitely one of the outside contractors that tested me for my B2B.  So there is definitely somebody in the corridor during this cruise.

I have to say this iceberg salad is quite interesting.  Just a quarter iceberg blue cheese some bacon bits and fried onions crumbled with tomatoes.  It looks pretty and tastes great.  I might have to steal this and add it to my dinner rotation and jazz it up with some meat!

Does the Windjammer have prime rib at dinner and if so, is it prepared the same was as the MDR? Want prime rib but really don’t want to eat in the MDR?
