thistledoo Posted February 20, 2022 #26 Share Posted February 20, 2022 I'm very optimistic cruising will start here after the arrival of the repositioned ships in the spring. Of course what restrictions will be placed on local cruises is anyone's guess.

marij Posted March 26, 2022 #28 Share Posted March 26, 2022 Word right now is that she is sailing empty -- what a waste.

It may be a condition imposed by our governments, trying to ensure ships artive here without having Covid onboard. Plus many of the ports along the way probably won't be open to cruise ships. Many people wouldn't be keen to do two or more weeks at sea with no port stops. I'd love it though!🤣

A day or two ago a couple of travel agents posted this information on their social pages. The 23-night journey from Seattle to Sydney will offer guests ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the ‘Aloha Spirit’, as the ship visits the tropical Hawaiian Island ports of Maui, Honolulu, Kona and Hilo ahead of heading to Fiji and Australia. Crossing the world’s biggest ocean, Carnival Splendor will treat guests to the awe-inspiring views of the Pacific, before she makes her long-awaited return to Sydney. Stay tuned , the Transpacific sailing will be available to book early next week!

Rare Sparky74 Posted March 29, 2022 #36 Share Posted March 29, 2022 DW & I are booked and have paid the deposit. We even sprang for a balcony cabin! I do, however, think Carnival is a bit cheeky advertising prices that don’t include gratuities. And then they slug you with an extra fee for paying with a credit card. 🤷♂️
