Friend cancels with 10 days before sailing

There are 3 of us on a cruise in one cabin for 3 people. My friend just told us he is not going. What do I now?  How does that affect our cabin since it’s for 3 passengers?  He knows he won’t get his cruise fare back.

Just have your friend be a no-show.  Don’t cancel with Carnival ahead of time.  Taxes/port charges will be refunded and the other 2 passengers will sail as usual.  When you go to check in at the port just say the other person can’t make it or is running late.

so I should not call my PVP to let Carnival know?

Probably not. Depending on the rate you booked, they could charge you a change fee. If any perks were included like OBC, you might lose that. The rate itself could change. Etc.

 

If the PVP is someone you trust, you could ask them, "What if questions" and see if you have any better options, but I tend to doubt it.

No... don't do it. Just be a no show.

It could affect your cabin and or pricing.

Some cabins are for different number of passengers.

yes I agree with others. Don't do anything. You have nothing to gain and a lot to lose including your cabin.
