neeuqdrazil Posted August 25, 2023 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2023 I picked up a Tomtoc Urban Sling (This one: https://www.amazon.com/tomtoc-Minimalist-Shoulder-Crossbody-Lightweight/dp/B08HSZ7HSF?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1) recently, and am finding it very convenient. I haven't experimented with it in the rain much, but it's well built, and the external zippers are inverted, which should make them more water resistant. I'm fat, with a large chest and broad shoulders, and it fits on my body quite well. It also doesn't look like a fanny pack, which for me is a plus. slidergirl Posted August 25, 2023 #27 Share Posted August 25, 2023 The one good trend going on now is to wear the hip bag like a sling or crossbody. It's good for everyone.

I find it quite annoying that 'someone' thinks the term 'fanny' is a problem and wants me to be PC.
Rare Kristelle Posted October 15, 2023 #30 Share Posted October 15, 2023 In Australia they are called bum bags. Fanny has a different meaning here than in US. I have a simple elastisiced belt one I bought from ebay and it just fits cash, credit card, phone. It has a loop holder for water bottle but i never use that and cut it off. Not at all expensive but works really well for me. Sits under my clothes so nobody really sees what it looks like anyway I carry non valuables, like hat, book, etc in a light weight back pack
