Do I have to be seated at a table or slots to order a drink or can I go up to the Casino bartender?  TIA!

You can't order from the casino bar.  You have to be in the casino and playing (or at least looking like you're playing.LOL)

Good to know!  I've never had this DOU while in the casino before.  So I need to order from a waiter?  Do they come by the slots often or am I better served at the tables?  Just trying to play the odds (see what I did there😎) so I can get a cocktail before my money runs out.  And can I order a Tito's and cranberry or do I only get house vodka?  TIA!

The waiters are always there and you can order whatever you want.  Sometimes it's busy but I never had a problem.  Order top shelf of your desire. Tips make the waiters come around more often and you will never be without a drink!

Yes, tips will help to ensure that you get a waiter often, I tip alot, so when I am in the casino and not even playing, but the waiter recognizes me, will ask if I want a drink even though I am not playing, just watching my wife play.

How do you know if you have DOU.  I booked under the casino promotion and I vaguely remember seeing DOU, but I didn't really read too much into it and now I can't find any information about my specific booking.  I looked at the notes on my reservation, but nothing is there specific to the casino or DOU.  I would call Carnival, but the wait time is crazy long.

Thanks for any help or info.

If you don't want to contact casino services, as previously suggested, you can wait until you are on the ship and go to the casino cashier/host and they will tell you if you have DOU or freeplay credit.$$$.

My sister went on a cruise and had no clue what she had and went to the cashier and it turned out she had DOU and $200 cash (back when they paid in all cash).

no, same rules apply as the cheers program.  You have to wait 5 minutes between them entering it in their system. So be sure to order another as soon as the drop off your drink.  If you try and order a double, you will get one free and one is charged to your sign and sail.

When you have drinks on us can you order a double.

the 'make it a double for $3 more' sign in the bar has fine print that it doesn't apply to cheers or DOU.  I was hoping that was not the case as I've ordered drinks on the rocks that were standard pours, just meant the waiter needed to make more trips.

Don't forget, there is a fifteen drink limit per day.  When you get to number ten, it will appear on your receipt and the server should let you know.

though I doubt I ever make 15, but when does the clock reset?  If I'm in the casino past midnight, does that start the next day?

Pre-pandemic, I was told at the time that it would reset at 6am. Maybe things have changed, but i doubt it.  I tend to hit my limit quite often because I order drinks for my wife for free. So that is two people sharing the DOU in the casino.  She comes by between shows or events and i order a drink and once it arrives, off she runs with it.  Saves us a little scratch.

Do you tip cash or add it to the receipt you sign? I assume these drinks don't have an automatic gratuity added?

If you have this promotion what do you have to do to "activate" it.  First time having it.  Thanks

I'm late to the party here but will add my 2 cents. Don't want to be a downer, but we had trouble with DOU on our last two cruises. We tried to order on day one, but then the waiters came back and said that the computer system wanted to charge us. On both cruises, we had to go to the casino host (you can find them next to the casino cashier) to get the problem resolved.

The trouble seemed to be that we had both DOU and Cheers, which in our state of Texas is somehow troubling due to TX liquor laws. Doesn't seem to be a problem elsewhere. At any rate, if trouble arises just go talk to the casino host and they will fix it for you.

We have always added $1 per drink to the receipt. But on our last cruise, I asked a waiter about this. I wanted to know if the tip goes to him directly , or to a shared pool. He was discreet, said it goes to him, but then with a wink he said cash is always better. We are planning to travel with a generous supply of $1 bills on our next cruise.

BTW, I just got back from my first post covid Las Vegas trip. We could not get drink service anywhere in the casinos. It was almost totally absent. I think I got one drink in five days of playing in casinos (slots/ video poker, not tables). So we took to playing at the sports bars where we could get service. This has not been our experience on the cruise ships. There are waiters constantly patrolling the floor, and if you tip, they will come back as often as you need.

Depends on the bartender, in March on Magic they were not allowing people to use theirs during embarkation at the Casino bar because the Casino was not open.  But about an hour later and different bartender people were using them.  Good Luck
