Thankfully I labeled this a semi-Live report as this afternoon got away from us with lounging and people watching, so not much to report.

 

Just finished dinner in Chops, which was very good.

 

 

Lobster Bisque 5 Forks Piping hot and flavorful 

 

 

9 oz Filet, a bit overdone but very tender and tasty. 3.5 Forks

 

 

Truffle Fries. Very nice and crispy 4 Forks

Caught a good but of Scott Orchard at Schooner Bar. He was excellent and we will be catching future performances. Phone battery was fried so no picture or video but definitely next time he was that good.

One thing I may be misunderstanding and has probably been discussed on the board’s is purchasing future cruises onboard, on gets you a raffle at current onboard credit?

 

 

 

Or is this just extra incentive and you still get some value of onboard credit for your current cruise when booking onboard.

 

I will be checking it out but figured I just missed this news over the past two years.

When we were on Anthem a few years ago we didn’t find time to try them.  I am hoping we find the time on Ovation in May.  Do they still have the trapeze?

It is a raffle for extra OBC. It used be $600. But I think it is only for the first 3 days bookings (the raffle). It is for your current cruise (I believe). We've never won.  You will still receive whatever the OBC is for your cruise when you book it.

You have to ask your room steward for paper copy.  We asked him on Sunday and received 2 so far.

Also anyone look for amazing internet, we were strolling the outside promenade on deck 5 starboard (right side facing forward for us land lubbers 😂 ) and happened upon this area while uploading the attached video.. service jumped dramatically here.. I will have to try some speed test her to verify but it was dramatically good so if you need to upload something important, get out there at 5:30 am on a Tuesday and your golden… 😆

Great! Thanks for the info. I know they need to maximize profits after the last two years so was not sure if they took away the onboard credit for booking onboard.

this bar is filled in the afternoons with small plates and drinks on offer

 

 

very inspirational

Did you see the comedian in royal theater last night?    We enjoyed his show.   He was much better than the comedian onboard our Jan sailing.

The Pub was crowded last night, decent guitarist.   They have some good bar bites too!   Have to get the poutaine, yummm😃

We did not go to the show in the Royal Theater. We make plans and then always end up doing something else on a whim .

 

We figured it was good as it always seems crowded starting about noon.. poutine sounds good with a nice pint!!

Family indoor pool area is quiet this morning but the hot tubs are seeing early use..

 

Lots if kids and families in here during the day.. did not cross our minds but this is definitely a spring break week as there are more families with children than we might have expected. Kids do not bother us 😆 as long as they are someone elses 😳

 

 

Will have to stop here at the pool bar for a drink later to test it out…. It’s what a good reporter would do to make sure it’s good 😊
