LIVE from the Grand Princess: RT LA to Hawaii 4/4/22 - 4/19/22

The Germaine’s Luau was nice. If you have never seen one it’s a great way to experience it. A little touristy, but still fun. The dancers and entertainment were really good!

 

Note it takes 45 min to get there. Busses pick you up and take you back. We were late getting back because 3 people who were supposed to be in our bus jumped on another one. That is why the boat was late departing. ;

The helicopter ride was fantastic! I’ve done many but the views and landscape were amazing! Photos don’t do it justice. Here are a few;

I got back to the ship grabbed a quick buffet lunch and hot on the Fern Grotto tour. It was ok. I love all of the jungle foliage. The ferns are growing back since the hurricane wiped them out years ago.

Would you mind telling us how much the helicopter tour was and if it was a ship excursion or booked elsewhere?  Thank you loving the review and pics

I booked separately through Viator. They have a shuttle that will pick you up at the port but call to reserve.

Dinner in the main DaVinci dining room. In total a 7/10 forks. I had the Caprice Salad which was ok but they made it with cherry tomatoes instead of sliced.😳;

 

The Beef Stroganoff was very good  but not great;

 

The dessert read as DARK Chocolate with coconut cream however it was mostly cream with some dark chocolate. Hmmm bait n switch??🧐😅;

After dinner we saw the show which was a singer, Travis Turpin, who mimicked famous singers. His Johnny Cash was spot on!;

Today we are headed in town to shop. Last chance before headed home. I’ve seen enough waterfalls and craters for now and don’t need anymore bus rides. The weather is partly cloudy and not too hot right now. TTFN

I went to high school with Travis and his sister. Small world. His father was well known in our city.

Yes. It was not bad at all even though I’m not a coconut fan. I was just expected more dark chocolate. You see, I’m a dark chocolaholic.

Yes - Lincoln. His dad had a segment on the nightly news called "Turpin Time" about the outdoors. I think his father recently passed. Travis had a twin who has also passed. His whole family is very talented.

And the Beef Stroganoff was strange.   I guess the Princess version.  Ours came cooked with Beets and a different kind of noodle.   It wasn't bad and beef tender just a Princess take on Stroganoff.   LOL
