I thought that was a possibility because HAL is already taking positive passengers off its

ships in the Caribbean to a hotel so the ship can continue to visit ports

We have been discussing this topic on the forum since Annastasia announced it a few days ago. There are a couple of other threads here about it.

 

I feel it this announcement was made because the Q'ld government is trying to justify the many millions of dollars it (really it's the people of Queensland) is committed to spend on Wellcamp. I don't expect there to be many cruise passengers who go to Wellcamp, because the announcement was that it would be cruise ship passengers who didn't live within driving distance. If they test positive they can't fly home and the government is relinquishing the hotel rooms they used for quarantine.
