Crown and Anchor Rewards Querey

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Can someone please help me.  If I am doing 3 back to back cruises with Royal Caribbean, and on the first cruise I go from Gold to Platinum, then on the 2nd cruise I will be going Platinum to Emerald... One of the rewards on platinum is the Welcome Waters & Snack + Beverage Selection, but it must be ordered 7 days in advance.  How does that work?

Thank you in advance.

Technically, there should be about 2 weeks after the cruise for your upgrade to be processed.

But onboard there’s a fellow called the loyalty ambassador which can solve your problem.

Just go see him and he will arrange it ,no problem.

Definitely talk to the loyalty ambassador onboard.

Also remember that your Crown and Anchor status doesn’t change until the end of the cruise when you achieve x number of days. You don’t tier up part way through a cruise.

Are you aware you can take 2 x 750ml bottles of wine and 12x 500ml of non alcoholic drinks per cruise, per cabin.

For the following cruises they will hold it and deliver it to your cabin at the start of each cruise.

The other day a guy at church was telling me that he and his 15 year old son watched Crocodile Dundee together. His son almost had a fit in the bar scene when Paul Hogan checked to see if the "lady" was actually a fella. 🤣

True but it’s good to have a few drinks as you choose in your fridge.

Just lounging around in your cabin or in the middle of the night and everything is closed, ah there’s a couple of cans in the fridge.

In the old days you would get the reward at the previous level at the start of the cruise then go and see the dude onboard  to get the higher level bonuses. A few times I had 2 levels of vouchers. Those paper vouchers were so much better.

True, getting that piece of paper feels more personal and uplifting... the power of trees lol

I haven’t ever had a drink package of any kind but people I know that get the package take some for the middle of the night.
I like a Bundaberg ginger beer on the balcony in the afternoon ,gearing up for happy hour.

If you are doing B2B you should be able to bring something on on the change over day.

The welcome snack and beverage used to be selected in your online profile however that has changed in recent years and now I believe you have to call Royal and specify your preference.  However, since you don't actually qualify for these just yet as you haven't yet accrued the points, as others have pointed out you may have to see the Loyalty ambassador for this.   Usually the snack at these levels would be 3 or 4 cookies on a plate from windjammer and 2 bottles of water or soft drink of your choice in your room on boarding.

We also moved from Platinum to Emerald on a back to back a few years ago and received our Emerald pins on the cruise we earned the points but we might have been lucky!

Hope you have a great time 🙂

hi

we really looking forward to it managed to book a 4th sailing last night so doing 4 B2B now super excited,(got in just before cut off for the double points we chasing that Dimond tier lol) dose anyone have any advice on if its better booking on board via Next Cruise? we planning on booking a family cruise for feb 2023, myself the wife and 3 kids.

Also this is our first time departing Brisbane logistically is it safer to book hotel or close enough to make an 11am  international flight home we normally cruise out of Sydney and fly in a day prior to and a day after our sailing.

😁

One thing I missed in your question was the beverages. To my knowledge only Diamond plus and pinnacles can select beer or wine as a in cabin gift.

Diamond usually just get a couple of bottles of water and a plate  of sweets. No real big deal to be honest.

As for next cruise, some people swear by it but I found it very expensive.

It cheaper to go through a online agent.

So far we have had nothing but issues using a travel agent and found it much simpler and convenient to book directly on the Royal Caribbean website have full control over what when and how to make payments, purchase excursions drinks packages etc etc etc but have heard that onboard discounts are good depending on your tier discounts and the "Next Cruise" up to $600 off or use it as onboard credit.😁

A cruise specialist agent ,a general travel agent can be pretty useless.

But all the good one have retired or moved on.
I had one that went to Royal Caribbean and Carnival colleges  but he bought a cleaning company during the pandemic .He said he got sick of working for nothing and getting abused for nothing.
Tell us how you go with Nextcruise, some people like it.

We are doing just that, chased double points on the Honolulu to Brisbane repo. Junior suite double on double points will put us to Diamond plus + .

We always book a cruise whilst on a cruise with RC, always get a great deal.

Question about Crown and Anchor...

I know that suites are eligible for double credit per night.

Does this include junior suites or only regular suites?

Yes ,it’s about all a junior suite gets you is double points.
