cruisekitty22 Posted April 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2022 Has anyone whose been to Cozumel Cruise port recently , say in the last 2 months can tell me if your ship was docked or tendered. This would be for NCL cruises. It would be for a breakaway/large ship. Not a small size ship.

hallux Posted April 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2022 Joy in March, docked. We docked downtown (and the only ship at the pier), the other lines in port at the time (RCL and Carnival) docked at the other port, away from town.

MeHeartCruising Posted April 30, 2022 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2022 I think the only time NCL would tender is if there a 3rd NCL ships in port that day. I believe they are the only line that uses the downtown pier and it hold 2 ships.
travelwide Posted May 1, 2022 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Not true. MSC and Cunard use downtown dock. Basically anyone other than Royal, Celebrity and Carnival. They have their own dock further away from town.
Rare BirdTravels Posted May 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Your cruise documents should tell you if you have to tender. I don't think that NCL has enough ships operating to Cozumel to force one to dock. NCL uses Punta Longosta (versus Royal and Carnival who is way down at the International Pier). Langham1865 Posted May 1, 2022 #11 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Breakaway in December... DOCKED But I will note I think the itinerary said tender even though we docked!!!
Rare Sailing12Away Posted May 1, 2022 #12 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Docked in February on the Pearl. Regent was closest to us, and there were a ton of RCC and Carnival ships to our right further down.
