Thanks for the tip if we are ever in the situation.  I believe you are correct - they probably never get to international waters in that situation.  You would think they would be posting in the Patter or promoting that guests hit the casino as there is no last night to wait for more gambling.

Nothing in the Patter. In the past they have actually left a message on the cabin phone reminding us to cash out. No notice there either. We did get the money in the mail though. Took about 3 weeks. The really annoying part was that I had counted on that money ($750) for additional tips - steward, dining staff, bartender... (Not that I would have blown that amount of money on tips. It's just that I had no money.)

I got in on three sale!! through my TA.  Price was really good.  *PLUS BEVERAGE PACKAGE/internet and gratuities all included!! and 300.00 OBC YAY!! ❤️👍

How much better was the price than on Princess.com?  The PLUS package is only included if you pay the higher fare for it.  There would have been a Standard fare available at a lower price point - but if looking for the PLUS, then great.

A few days earlier I went on line saw what I wanted and put a curtesy hold on it.  Cruise only no extras. << The idea being that i would look at a drink pkg down the road. Buy separately.  But the reservation print said that if I paid the full 500.00 deposit REFUNDABLE the drink package would be included.  Attached my reservation information to an email to my TA.  My TA mentioned an upcoming 3 day sale and would look into it for me.  My TA came back with all the extras and the cruise fair was 200.00 less.  And the deposit was only 125.00 <--YAY! It felt like Christmas lol just saying.

Thanks.  So, it seems you saved $200 on the cruise fare, plus $300 OBC.  That sounds pretty good.  Not sure the length of voyage, nor the pricing.  I was probing a bit since I have never seen the 3-day sale beating my TA prices and some other members had posted they didn't think this year's sale was all that great compared to past years.

ETA:  PS - we also book the Saver/Standard fare as we can get the internet quite inexpensive, plus we get a bar setup for each voyage, and I usually bring my own wine on board.

Question: Although I realize you can't disclose your TA did you use the "online TA that has a ton of brick and mortar stores and offers the annual 3 Day Sale" or just a regular TA who matched the offer of that one? I've never considered asking my regular TA to match that other agency's "deal".

I read it as the poster's TA works for the agency that offers the annual 3DS.

I booked my upcoming cruise (August 15 to Greenland) through the 3-day sale yesterday. The price was the same as on Princess, but it included $360 in onboard credit. That worked out better than the price quotes I received from several other agencies that regularly discount cruise prices.

As a note to the fellow Canadians posting on this thread...

I booked three inside cabins for an 11 night cruise for this December two weeks ago directly with Princess because they were showing a more favourable price point in Canadian dollars vs. booking with the US-based cruise site I typically book through.

In re-checking prices when I heard of the "sale", I was very glad I locked it in when I did because three cabins in the same category as I booked are now $1,296 Cdn more (two cabins with no perks, one cabin with princess plus).

Interestingly the rate on the US travel site I usually book through is unchanged over that same period of time. I am guessing that the price increase I am seeing is due to Princess adjusting their exchange rate.

I was not expecting to see any additional decrease as this is a holiday cruise but very happy that I booked when I did.

Happen to come across your post.  Don't do it! We were in the same scenario on February when I basically "transferred" one of our passengers to another room.  Rep said I have to just pay again and the previous payment will be refunded.  It's now June and the refund is still not there despite several escalations. I would push for the cruise credit.

Thanks! Agent refused and within 3 days the FCC was back in my account and we are good to go for June 29–as long as one of us doesn’t catch the Covid again 🙄
