My husband got the offer with $100 play. We’re looking at Alaska in August. Love that it’s a veranda cabin without having to upgrade. Do you usually get a good one? Our first time with a special offer.
A little concerned about the resurgence that seems to be happening though. I hate the thought of wearing a mask all of the time again.

My DW got this yesterday as well.  We are already on one for August in Alaska out of Seattle, so will have to pass on this.  Given the current state of the Covid testing rules, I am sticking with Seattle instead of Vancouver.

As to cabin assignment, I do not like the guarantees (on some ships worse than others).  I normally upgrade us to a category where I am comfortable with any cabin we can be assigned, as most times it is not that much more expensive, considering what you get.  Purchasing Club Orange is another option to look at also.

This came in today. For me it's a free Verandah, $500 free play and drinks in the Casinos. Judging by the offers I would say Alaska trips sailing out of Vancouver are not selling very well.

on a 7 day cruise I usually wager between $1500-$2000 for the entire cruise .Split between machines and tables. I also play Bingo which is run by the Casino department.

I got the offer w $50 free play.  Booked back to back Alaska cruises in July.  There is also an option for $50 per day (drink package, shore excursion and Surf internet package).  That comes after you book.  Trying to decide if I want the the drink package).

We got this one too but didn't want to do Alaska.  We booked New England with a $250 casino credit and a free Verandah room.  The only problem is that the Zaandam didn't have any verandah rooms so we had to take a free ocean view instead.

May I ask, what are the requirements to receive these casino offers? My husband usually receives a casino discount when booking a cruise but has never received these specials. How do we get on this list? Thank you for your input.

We used to just get the casino discounts but since Covid now getting free cabins as well.  I really think it is due to HAL not filling the ships, so the free cabin offers are more plentiful.

Having said that, increasing your play also helps, but no one can tell you what the level is (in fact I am sure it varies by play amount and how bad HAL needs the business).

We went on a free cruise to Caribbean in February, I asked at the cansio cage about the cruises , they told me they have changed things ( I don’t know if it was for that cruise or all cruises)

that we would get a flier at the end of cruise.

So thought I would invest since I had won a little thru out the cruise .  It paid off got the offer of choice of cruises on the list ,but only had 30 days to book.

I enjoy gambling and we do not live by a cansio so to travel we cruise and gamble.

Other family members also got offers some were for cansio credit and some were for cruises they did not have  the same destinations .

We received the Casino Fare and plan to pay today.  They also offered us to purchase the equivalent of the current “Have it All” options at $50.00 per person per day.  I am wondering if that is so,e thing that is refundable if we had to cancel for some reason?  I am curious if any of you no the answer to this as the HAL system is down.

Hi Anabel,

You can still take advantage of my work, and do the two days of touring.

Could you please post this, or something like it on the Roll call:
You are booked either 14-Day Holy Land & Ancient Kingdoms Explorer for September 24- to October 8 or the 28-Day Holy Land, Ancient Kingdoms & Adriatic Explorer

I, Susan (xLibLabLady) had arranged  the following tours for our 28-day cruise that would have began on September 10and ended 8 October.  Holland America canceled that bloc of time.

We can’t go on the two full days of tours, you can. You will need to contact Mina, the guide, and either do the tours as we designed it, or request modifications.  You will need to ask her her current requirements regarding deposits needed at present. You will also need to ask her about what would happen if your cruise is cancelled.

Mina’s contact information: Mina Glatzer.  Her email:derecer10@gmail.com  She also has WhatsApp.

The tour(s) will be in a 16-passenger van with a driver and a guide.  Group size for this tour needed to be a minimum of 10 people.

The cost of the tour, $150 USD per person per day is based on 10 passengers.  This price does not include entrance fees nor meals.
Payment will be cash on the days of each tour, preferably in USD.
Total of entrance fees will be approximately the equivalent of $10 USD extra per person.

Important to note: Mina states that if for some reason transportation fees change close to our arrival she will let passengers know.  Mina will be hiring a van with a driver.

Regarding the 1st day Saturday Oct 1 from the Haifa port:
We had planned an itinerary that includes such highlights as these, not necessarily in this order:

Baha’i gardens in Haifa which we will not enter and walk through it but rather have view from the upper terraces and get an explanation of the Bahai faith.
Nazareth visit the church of Annunciation
Mount of the Precipice/Mount of the Leap of the Lord which has stunning views towards
Mount Tabor and the Jezreel Valley.  (Note:  There is a geocache at this and other locations, which DH Jerry and I hope to find while there, but I promise we would not allow our searches to interfere with group enjoyment.)
Sea of Galilee where we will visit Mount of Beatitude, Capernaum, Tabha Cana, where the miracle of the water that turned to wine happened when Jesus attended the wedding
Visit Yardenit baptism site on the River Jordan
We may enter a kibbutz as well and get the idea of how life is today.

Regarding the 2nd day, Sunday Oct 2 from Ashdod, the port for Jerusalem:
We would concentrate on Jerusalem Old and New city. This tour does not include Bethlehem because after arrival hit could take hours  to get to the church of Nativity. We would have to have a different guide while our Israeli guide would have to wait for us on the Israeli side.

In Jerusalem we visit the old city, including but not limited to:

Mount of Olives
The Wailing Wall
the Cardo  (Cardo was the main road at the Roman period and used to cross the city from North southwards. Due to excavation you can see the level of the road 2000 years ago compared to today’s level. and it’s actually today located in the middle of the Jewish quarter.
the Jewish quarter
the Christian quarter
Church of the Holy Sepulcher
Via Dolorosa
Dome of the Rome may be included
Our guide Mina Glatzner suggests we see the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum as well.

Take care,

Susan

p.s. As you know, I still have the emails of those who had signed up for the 2 days. It sure would be great if you all could still get together. I am going to send this same email to each couple signed up.
