Dinner attire for NE/Canada cruise

I also posted this in the fashion category however, it does not get as much "activity"

We are going on our first non Caribbean cruise to the NE/Canada for 9 nights.

Would it be out of place to wear summer like clothes, bright colors or "Caribbean" like...for dinner? The cruise starts on Sept 1st if that makes a difference.

Thank you

You are cutting it close. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't wear white after labor day. 🤣

We're doing a CAN/NE cruise the first week of October.  If it's warm enough, I will be wearing my Tommy Bahama floral-print shirts and shorts (but not on formal night..of course  😜)

You'll be fine in whatever you choose.   In NE,  early Sept sometimes can be pretty warm.   i remember years ago we took a cruise to Bermuda leaving labor Day weeekend out of NY and the temp was in the upper 90's
