Wow.  Thanks for this information I had no idea! When I booked my 30% off I got the MSC concierge‘s number as he was the guy who contacted me after I filled out the form. Believe me I will contact him if I get a free one instead and hopefully it will work out just as good. One thing he did tell me was to call the number and anyone would be able to help me after booking if I had any questions because he worked directly with MSC concierge and not myvegas.  Another thing he was not considered a travel agent or whatever that you have to keep working with.  Since you have done other my Vegas free or 30% off cruises how often do they offer the free ones? Has the 30% one around for a long time and do you think it will continue being around?  I definitely want to book some more!  Not sure how many can walk over what time period.

It's fixed now. I never did % off on any of them, I can usually do better than that on my own (maybe). Only the freebies for me. There's no rhyme or reason when they come out and who is releasing them to MV.  It depends on their marketing/casino what they have available. It's a big guessing game for the rest of us. They keep changing the limit with new releases. I know you could grab a few at one time as long as they were different dates, I never tried it though.

Nice, so glad they fixed it. The morning after they fixed it, and it worked as you said. I'm the same way, got 2 free for Carnival and one for Royal in the past.

Haven't seen Carnival cruises at all in the apps.  I've only used them for around a year so maybe Carnival stopped its MV program.

The free Royal cruises are hard to come by -- you need to constantly check for them because they 'sell out' very quickly.   Late last year there were quite a few but the cost of airline tickets to the port (e.g. Barbados) or to get to the lower-end cruise ships that were available wasn't worth it.

I think MSC provided a great deal more opportunity to get a free cruise, especially now.

Yeah Carnival is few and far between. I last had one in 2018 and haven't seen one since.  Royal is a real pain, you really have to stalk MV when the good ones come out. With us coming out of this covid crap, anything is possible.

I booked my MSC Divina cruise today through myVegas.  It was super easy.  I called the number on the reward confirmation and pressed 2.  The rep didn''t even need my reward number she just looked up my name.  She got me a premium extended length balcony.  I only have to pay taxes, port fees, and service charges.  This is my second time booking through myVegas.  My first time was 4 years ago on NCL Gem.  I ended up having to cancel that cruise and loosing my points due to my Mother have a massive stroke 2 weeks before the sail date.  This will be our first MSC cruise.  Looking forward to trying something different.

Used my 1,250,000 points for a cheapest inside cabin. Called MSC with my code , got upgraded to a Premium balcony cabin for just the port charges and taxes. Prepay the gratuites -total price of 494.20

for the cruise . Can't beat that!

I didn't have any problems booking the Divina for August 14th out of Orlando yesterday. I called the number in the email and told the rep I was redeeming a PlayStudios reward. She couldn't find it in her system, but worked it out. She had me send an email to get an SR# while she stayed on the line, and once I had that (about 3 minutes later), she went through the various rooms options with me. I got a deluxe balcony room, paid port fees, taxes, and gratuities of ~$150. The whole process was very easy and the rep was beyond helpful.

Any tips for earning rewards? I have the slots, bingo and black jack on my phone and slots on FB. I was doing well on slots, but ran it down, so hoping for more bonus rewards. I can't get anywhere on bingo.  One thing I AM learning, I don't think I would do well in Vegas, so good thing this is play money!

When I do earn enough, I think I'll get the 30% discount because we would like to be in YC. I'm also hoping I can stack on my husbands 10% as a veteran.

Just for clarification, when I get the certificate, I just need to call and make a reservation within "x" number of days. Can the cruise be further out? And, it is only cruises out of Orlando or Miami?

Tips on earning rewards:

Get all of the apps (6 of them noted below) and play them everyday.  Bet the bare minimum 'chips' in each slots game and get the daily bonus chips -- these actually build up gradually because you get more daily bonus chips than you lose.  Resist the game's urging to bet more chips to win more, you'll lose them and they just want you to spend real $ to buy them.

Stop playing each game after it stops paying off in the reward points (after about 1 hour for all except Bingo which takes about 2 hours).  There's no point in playing if you aren't being 'paid'.

Maximize reward points by playing each day after the 'rewards reset' when the rewards points start counting up again.   MGM slots and Pop slots reset twice a day where you can earn more reward points.   On DST, they reset at 8 AM and 8 PM.  The other games reset only once per day - Konami at 1PM, MV slots at 12AM, Bingo at 8PM, and blackjack after 24 hours of last play.

If you have more than 1 device, you can play 2 or more different games at the same time and earn the rewards.  They all need to be linked to the same FB account.

If you maximize the rewards as above, you should be able to earn around 20K+/day, it would take less than 10 days to get the 200K needed for the MSC 30% reward.

Tips on spending reward points:

Reward offers vary over time, for example, MSC didn't offer any until about 5-6 months ago.   So, you can't count on the 30% discount until you actually have enough rewards to 'buy' it.   Read all of the terms and conditions of the reward before you buy it -- it looks like your understanding is correct (to buy a future cruise within 30 days of purchasing the reward).

Number of points needed for specific rewards tend to go up, guess there's inflation there.   I particularly noticed this for RCL ones.

If you buy a reward, it goes into your 'wallet'.   You can also return rewards without redeeming them (and get your rewards points back).   This particularly helps if the reward isn't always available -- you can buy it when it's available and return it before it needs to be redeemed if you decide against using it.

It seems like larger bets makes fills up that rewards bar faster, no?  I ask because you had suggested minimum bets.

I haven't seen that at all.

Doesn't seem to be any correlation between betting and the rewards bar filling.   The rewards bar will fill at the same rate even when you are browsing through the rewards and not betting at all.

Even if that was the case, I doubt it would be worth betting extra and running out of playing chips.

Maybe try larger bets on Konami slots and watch the progress bar.  It does seem to make a pretty big difference.

What is MV slots?  I think I have the others that you mentioned.

@TickledBlue thanks for taking time to answer! I'll try your tips.  I wonder if I downloaded the wrong Bingo app because it doesn't show any rewards. It is signed in through my FB and shows what I have, I just haven't earned anything there.

I'm just looking forward to trying another MSC cruise. Since we were on Seaview last month, it just made me more anxious. My family thoroughly enjoyed the YC experience and felt it was a better experience than when we were in NCL Haven. So, getting a nice discount will make it even better!

I was just looking at a 7 night cruise on the Divina on Sep. 18 that they were offering.  Was kind of thinking about it but little gun shy (and depressed) now that I had to cancel my Seashore cruise tomorrow due to a positive COVID test.    MSC is going to refund the taxes/fees but I won't get back my MV rewards points back that I used to get it.

They are trying fill up under-booked cruises so they most likely won't change dates.  If you really wanted to try, you could buy the reward, call them and check, and return the reward after they deny it.

There's date listed on those rewards so I'm not so sure what you mean by no date on pop slots.

If pop slots does not shows it, you can use other app - myvegas, etc.

There's a 7 night for August - 8/21/22 for 1,000,000 points

7 nights for September - 9/4/22 for 1,250,000 points

7 nights for September - 9/18/22 for 1,500,000 points

The 10/2/22 one is sold out.

So you can either redeem for the 9/4 or 9/18 if you have that many lp points.

I booked the yacht club inside for the September 3 cruise on the seashore using  the 30% off/100,000 value points. The good thing about the 30% off is you can basically pick your cruise. . The 30% off is taken off the cabin price but you  still have to pay of course the difference and the port charges taxes and daily service charge. But when you consider you will  have to pay the port charges and taxes and daily service charge for the comped cruises all you are getting is a free balcony Fantastica np perks. Of course this is a good deal but if you want to get a drink package and Wi-Fi it does add to the price. Bottom line I paid $1967 total for 2 for the YC inside  and we know all the perks  that includes. So it might be something to consider! I also got the $200 obc offered at that time and the $50 each obc per person, double points and the usual 5% off for voyagers.  Might wanna do the math and see if you pay a little more if you get a lot a lot more and only have to use 100,000 points!  I also posted this information on another thread sorry but I think its worth repeating.

Several months ago I booked a MSC cruise using the myvegas MSC 30% off reward that required 200,000 points. MyVegas in the meantime added several MSC cruises either comped  or 10% or 20% or 30% off.

For those of you accumulating points specifically for a cruise I want you to know I tried using another 30% off discount reward and was not allowed. I was however able to redeem a 20% discount reward

And for anyone that’s not aware the reward offers has to be redeemed by August 31, 2022!  I’m not sure how far in advance you’re allowed to book a cruise.

There's a lot of terms and conditions, so read through them carefully.

The % off discounts are limited to select ship and port combinations.  Since the ships may be moved from one port to another, this limits the applicable sailings.

It's likely that MSC will change the reward offerings on myVegas as time goes on.

It does. My friend has been playing for awhile so she has tons of points. She plays huge bets and says it only takes her a few minutes to fill up her daily rewards.  I noticed the same when I was playing larger bets.

Sadly, the terms and conditions say it is for US residents only.  I am not.  Wondering if any Canadians were able to use it.
When we booked through a TA this year, the TA booked us through the US site even though we weren't.  I'm wondering if they would let you.  I've debated just trying it anyway and asking for a refund in points if the answer is no.  Even if they don't, I don't have anything to spend them on.

I would say to go ahead and try.   If you can't use the reward, it remains in your wallet in the app and you can just return it there.

I'm guessing that your friend buys betting points - bet big, lose big.   I'm too cheap to do that.

Lps are non-refundable for MSC Cruise. It clearly stated for U.S. residents only. If you have an address in the U.S., then maybe. If not, then I won't redeem for it. If you don't mind losing those non-refundable lps, then you can try it otherwise nope. There other others rewards you can redeem for. You just have to wait until they release other rewards. Myvegas did one time had rewards like gift cards to restaurants, iphone earphones, ipads, etc. Royal Caribbean rewards - I believe Canada residents can redeem for it.

So would I be able to use the 30% off with the labor day sale that's going on now? It's kids sail free and 200 obc.
