Juneau Question

We will be cruising on Carnival Spirit to Alaska in July 2023. I read somewhere that you have to tender to Juneau...that's not correct, is it? I would think we would dock on every port stop for an Alaskan cruise.

You should have gotten an itinerary on your booking sheet.  You can also look up your itinerary on the Carnival WEB site.  That should indicate if you have to tender.

I did get an itinerary emailed to me and I can see the itinerary on the website, however there is no mention of tendering into Juneau. Am I to assume that since there is nothing mentioned that we don't tender?

If there are a ton of ships scheduled, it is possible someone will have to tender.

Here is the schedule to watch in the future. It doesn't have the piers listed yet but it will. Jul 1 shows six ships in port.

If you do have to tender, as we did in Ketchikan last week, the Spirt they use the life boats, and I think they had 4 going at once. It was pretty quick.

It depends on how many ships are in port that day. I recall previous visits with 2 or more ships at anchor in Juneau.
