Which other cruise's Info would I be using? a newbie could misunderstand and think that cruise air credit is a standard amount across multiple cruises (so they could erroneously think that which cruise doesn’t matter). My comment was meant more fir them than for you. That said, the mock booking leaves no room for error. jonthomas Posted August 5, 2022 #28 Share Posted August 5, 2022 Unless you are in Canada booking in US funds. There is NO way to see on line what the US prices are. Really awful, cant see if price goes up or down. It does fluctuate based on the exchange but thats about it. You could see it in the past in US dollars but they eliminated that feature for some reason. I constantly have to ask my friend to look it up for me...really annoying. Simple solution: US annexes Canada and everyone uses USD. 👀🤔😉 1

Reduction in healthcare costs would be an immediate benefit. Plus, their whole reputation for just being nice and easy-going could do a whole lot for our reputation! 2

I like the “easy-going” attitude as well as poutine and Montreal bagels. And I might be able to finally get better use out of my high school and college French. But, I don’t buy the healthcare item. We are fortunate to have an excellent retirement health insurance package that provides no cost access to what many would consider the best healthcare in the world for many medical concentrations (UC San Francisco). Don’t need or want what amounts to socialized medicine. On the serious side of this: Just imagine the savings from the eventual consolidation of national government services and personnel. barbon2 Posted August 6, 2022 #34 Share Posted August 6, 2022 We also sailed on Celebrity for many years and switched to O a few years ago. (We also liked Crystal. We love O, and have sailed on both the small and larger ships. We love the atmosphere on O and feel that there is a more intimate vibe on their ships. That being said, if you are more into a late night party atmosphere, you may not like O. Ironically, we just completed our first post Covid cruise and it was on Celebrity from Bayonne to Bermuda. Due to time constraints, we were unable to do the Bermuda run on O from NYC. We were looking for something that was close in proximity to where we live and didn’t want to have too many ports to stop at. We had a nice cruise on Celebrity. The food was good and the entertainment typical for a ship. We are returning to O in January for a winter cruise. I’m not downing Celebrity, but as we get older, it’s just not want we typically want in a cruise vacation. It’s hard to articulate, but we just love the atmosphere, fellow guests and the food on O.
longislandcruisers Posted August 7, 2022 #35 Share Posted August 7, 2022 Hope not sounding redundant, but IMO I think Oceania is an excellent choice. We too used others RCCL, Celebrity etc when our daughters were children (we are now in our sixties), then went on to Oceania. Bermuda is beautiful , it should still be warm in September. The two ports are nice to have. Only caveat in September is that it is still hurricane season. Yes we have sailed at that time but kept our fingers crossed. Definately try LaReserve dining experience, so special. wishing you safe travels !

If you're on an Oceania ship that has La Reserve the only port you'll be stopping at in Bermuda is the Royal Naval Dockyard.

We were on a Bermuda cruise the beginning of June. Had to leave Bermuda a day early due to Alex. Most cruise to Bermuda go during Hurricane season. It can happen. Most of the time, it doesn’t. Chances are good that your cruise will be ok.
