Flights are cheaper into MIA than FLL for us, but what would transportation cost to get from MIA to our FLL hotel and back to MIA from debarking in FLL, please? We have done the opposite FLL to MIA using SAS a couple of times. But their service only originates in FLL area.

I would venture that the cost for transport from MIA would pretty much eat up any savings in your plane fare.  It's 28 miles from Miami to Ft Lauderdale.  If it were me, I'd just pay the extra money to fly to Ft Lauderdale, especially with the horrible traffic between the two cities.

Taxi from MIA to FLL area hotels will run about $75+ on the meter.  Uber/Lyft should be cheaper (and will be a nicer ride), but surge pricing may wipe out your savings.  You can take the Tri-Rial train from MIA to FLL area stations for about $5 each - from there it is a short taxi/Uber/hotel shuttle ride.
