Moz Posted August 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Would appreciate an address for a relivable address for RCL to inquire about testing requirements for October, We are scheduled on an October 23 sailing we are fully vaccinated and boosted but not going to go through the hassle of testing when other lines don't require it, We will cancel our cruise and airlines but need to know so we can do this now It's not like we live in Florida but have to fly from the far north and make many reservations and plans ahead of time, Just need some time to change to another cruise line and make our plans. Thank you so much for your help.

Marie51 Posted August 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2022 The Royal Caribbean reps will not know what’s going to happen in October. They do not even know what is going to happen tomorrow.
Sunshine3601 Posted August 20, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2022 When you booked you knew a test was required what's the difference now? You already made final payment so you are past the point of getting a refund. Noone wants what October requirements will be..just assume they will be the same as now.
poocher Posted August 20, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2022 You may not WANT to test but as of right now, you HAVE to. The situation is so fluid and may very well change in your favor at some point. But that point is not now. I also sail in October. I am assuming we will have to test until RC says different.
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted August 20, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Life is too short for you to be so stressed out and put off by the current testing requirement - just cancel now.
Rare ReneeFLL Posted August 20, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Why did you book knowing you have to test? Just because the other lines aren’t requiring it now, you still booked knowing you would have to. Maybe things will change by October but at least the testing has been changed from 2 to 3 days if you are cruising from the US. Not sure about other locations.

Buy the BinaxNOW test or use the free government test and pay for a proctor to test. It’s very simple. No need to stress about it. We will be cruising from Hawaii in October. We have purchased the BinaxNOW test and will test when we get there. No problem. Edited August 20, 2022 by ReneeFLL
poocher Posted August 20, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 20, 2022 To hijack the thread, forgive me I haven’t paid attention to the companies proctoring the free gov tests. I think there are 2?

Tlbecker1 Posted August 21, 2022 #14 Share Posted August 21, 2022 We just tested today for our 11th cruise since all of the testing began. We expect it and always book knowing that we might have to test again.
