Thank you rakkor, enjoyed reading the review so far.

if you get the chance could you kindly take a picture of the drinks menu in the Commodore Club?

We are thinking of taking the drinks package for our cruise on QE next month but I heard some of the cocktails prices have increased, so if our favourites are now over $12 we won’t bother.

This is from the myvoyage app/webpage onboard and a pdf made of the stitched together screenshots

All sounds wonderful on this trip. The south of France takes some beating, and the wines are excellent as you have no doubt found.Thank you for posting.

They are ready to be handed over to Lloyd, our sommelier , for safekeeping at lunch today

That's a question that's occurred to me, too. We're going for four weeks on 15th September, Southampton - New York - Canada - New York - Southampton. It's being sold as separate trips, but we've booked it as one voyage from Southampton to Southampton. It would be great if our Platinum Wifi allowance was renewed for each segment, but I have no idea and not holding out too much hope!

we booked our Vancouver-Alaska-Vancouver-Fort Lauderdale as 1 trip but we got 2 lots of internet credit - 1 for the Alaska bit and one for Van- FL. Those carrying on from FL to Barcelona got another credit for that section.

That's encouraging - hope rekindled!

We're in Livorno today, no tours booked so we went for a  bimble around town with the  option of getting the train out to Pisa, but it turns out I'm too lazy to walk to Central Station as it isn't very central - We made do with some light sunbathing back on ship instead.

I've updated last night's blog with a Jane Picture and some  more content. https://blog.rakkor.uk - I shal post today, part one, fairly soon.

It's a sea day today, so a relief to have a lie in and a relax with some insights lectures. Dinner last night was excellent with lots of flambé action which you can read about in the blog which I've updated this morning https://blog.rakkor.uk

Crepe suzettes looked lovely. I caused much amusement with the Commodore Club waiters when I asked for a Moscow Mule without vodka - they christened it a Moscow Donkey!

Jane was very impressed, the food really is good on board this time. I've had a couple of dishes so far that have been just good, but on the whole brilliant.

Well, the last day is upon us. Valencia, before disembarking in Barcelona tomorrow.

Breakfast in the room with champagne as its our anniversary and then a little walk around as we were here in March.

Back on board, packing done and in the balcony chilling with Veuve and choc chip cookies until sailaway - living the high life eh

😂

Rakkor, haven't seen you in the Grills lounge but if you see us tonight at around 8ish , say hello.  I'll be in a bright orange dress with matching shoes.

I'll stick my head in the door on our way to dinner.

Apologies for the delay in publishing yesterday's blog but I was very lazy, plus we'd arranged for an 18:30 pre dinner drinks with our table mates so my  routine was all messed up, so much so I forgot my phone/camera so missed out one one of the best sunsets at dinner.

Anyway https://blog.rakkor.uk for yesterday's offerings and maybe today part 1 if I don't get too distracted in the Commodore Club by the singer - she's very good!

Thank you for you ongoing report @rakkor .

One question, please: Is there any indicatuon if and when the cocktail parties will return? At least the Senior Officers party.

None at all - sorry - apologies to @Lynnewob I stuck my head in on the way to dinner last night, but I couldn't  see you and we stopped for a drink post dinner on the off chance you'd come but nope.

A review of QE has just appeared, saying the ship is filthy, the staff rude and incompetent, and the beds very uncomrtable. Can you just reassure us this has not been your experience?

we came off her less than a month ago and that certainly was not our experience. Lovely staff, very clean and as ever, comfortable beds! I'm off to read that review now.

I am greatly enjoy your blog, thanks for posting. You guys are real troopers, especially considering your March cruise.

If I understand your blog, you will be returning to Barcelona for a third time in approximately 8 days? If so, do you plan to spend any additional time there?

Thanks,

Jack

Wow, that was not our experience at all.

The only slow/wrong service we had was Bar service in the casino at the tables.  We just rolled with it as a lot of new staff are on board.

Decks and interior were all in good shape.

There are obviously two QEs existing in the universe because this isn't my experience. I'm a firm believer in you reap what you sow, so if you treat the staff with respect they wi return that respect. As for dirty, some areas are getting a bit tired, but never dirty  There's a abundance of fresh paint around, I certainly smell it all around deck 4 and the promenade deck where rust is being tackled.

It's my birthday on the 13th and although I'd have liked to spend it on board, my oppo at work wanted the end of September off and since he's been single handedly kept the office afloat while I've been off I thought I out to let him have it. Anyway, so rather than spending it on board we are staying on for a couple of days returning to the UK on the 15th

Certainly, when I was aboard in April, it was clean and sparkly, the staff were great, and the beds very comfortable. I wondered if something dreadful had happened since then.
