Princess Casino free play

Yes, wait to see what you may get.  I had a similar offer ($300 free play) and was looking at booking right away.  Thought the same—are we cruising because we want to or are we only going to get $300 free play!

 

Two weeks after our cruise, I got an offer for a free interior cabin, drinks while playing in casino and $250 free play.  I called to book a cruise, was told that the free room offer was good for five cruises!  Free play only applied to one cruise though.

 

We booked a couple of cruises we wanted to go on, upgraded to a better cabin and on one we upgrade to Princess Plus (16 day Hawaiian cruise).  Glad we waited!  
 

I’ve received other offers in addition to email reminders to book my free room before the deadline.  I think once you indicate you’re interested in casino offers, you get more (at least that’s my feeling).

 

As previously mentioned, you do have to put a $200 deposit per person on each cruise (refundable) as well as pay for all taxes and fees.  You do have to pay everything at the time of booking so it can add up!

 

edited to add:  you do not get shareholders credit on these free cruises—I tried!

I've always gotten shareholder credit on my freebiees.  I think it depends on whether you upgrade your cabin.

I have gotten the shareholders credit on ALL my cruises (10 currently on the books).   I email my request to:   sbpcl@princesscruises.com.    I'd resubmit again.

One time I got an offer letter slipped under my door on disembarkation morning; I excitedly slipped it into my carry-on and then lost it! 😩 I contacted the Casino department, and they said without it, they can’t offer me anything. I haven’t received anything since. Sigh 

 

Don’t lose your offer letter!

Check here to see if you have any cruise offers:    

1.  Log into Princess

2.  Click on "My Account"

3.  Click on "Future Cruise Credits"

4.  Go to Onboard Credits and click on the drop down menu "View Details"

This should have your offers.    Call the Casino Dept ‭(888) 772-6697‬ and they should be able to look it up as well.

2.  Go to "My Account"

3.  Click on "Profile Information"

Thank you for letting me know.  I submitted requests for all of our casino-comped cruises yesterday.  Received the shareholders credit on all by the end of the day.  Very fast turnaround!  Even got it on a 2024 cruise!

You can get shareholder on Princess, I have 6 free casino cabins booked through summer 2023 and received shareholder for all of them.

$850 free play is obviously very nice, but we don’t have any cruises booked, and the only one I fancy doing would cost us around £5000, so instead of trying to sweet talk my husband in to thinking it’s a great deal, could someone please tell me that I’d be a nutcase to book a £5000 cruise in order to get a free $850 slot machinefest?

 

The cruise would no doubt be fab, but we’d already decided not to book another cruise until the energy price thing calms down, but that letter offering me free money is definitely pulling me in!

 

Please tell me I’m a nutcase and that I should just forget the letter and move on 🙂

If you are offered that amount of free-play, you may also get a casino discount.  It’s worth a call to see if that is also part of the offer.

Thank you; back when it happened, I did contact the Casino department. They told me that they have no connection to the onboard offers and couldn’t honor it without the information from the paper I was given. 😏 Of course maybe I just got an inaccurate answer and should have pursued it with another rep. 🤷‍♀️

That said, I probably wouldn’t say no to a free or discounted cruise 🙂 but I doubt that will happen. I’m not that lucky 😞 

Since the offer does not include a free cabin or even a discount, I would not take the offer.  Since you have to pay for your cabin, port taxes and extra's and then go to the casino to play the $800 in free play, you could make money, break even or lose more than you intend to.

Hopefully down the road you will receive an offer that gives you a free cabin and then it is worth it.
