Drinks, tips & wifi price increase today?

Hi!  I’ve been looking to book a cruise in October and today the price of the drinks, tips & wifi went up several hundred dollars..am I losing my mind or did it go up to ~$1200 for 2 for a week?  Before today it was around ~$800 over the base price I believe.

On a 7 day cruise the difference between Cruise Only and AI was about $330. This has been the general figure since probably 2016 or so when they did the Big/Better/Best and Go 1/2/3 deals. To get it all was roughly $300 more per person for a 7 night cruise. Right now the difference I am seeing on our next 7 night booking is at $597 per person.

Thx..not crazy apparently, lol..I’ll wait and see if it changes back.  We drink enough to justify an extra $600 in a week, but certainly not $1000.  The price difference of a balcony with tips right now is ~$2000, with the drinks, Wi-Fi & tips is ~$3000.

I haven't checked today but did make a couple of bookings in the past 2 weeks and the difference between Cruise Only and All Included  was roughly $50-55 pp per day.  Now I'm curious.

 

I just checked on both and on 1 adding AI adds another $89pp pd (4 N cruise)  and the other the adding AI was $61 pp pd ( 7 N cruise).

 

So the cost of AI seems to have increased.  $61 is still a good deal IMHO if you want the beverage package but at $89 not so much.

So I'm assuming the total AI cruise price was increased rather than the cruise only price being reduced.  Correct?

Correct, adding AI costs more now that yesterday.

As long as there are people who will pay, the would be stupid not to raise the price until they reach the breaking point, if there is one.

Maybe it is related to new wifi? at least for al.

Reports are that the new internet should be less expensive to the cruise lines.  Of course that does equate to a lower price to passengers.
