Also. Only 600 passengers aboard. Capacity 1900.

Question - is it just a matter of asking the staff how many passengers are onboard? Do they readily give out this info if asked? Just curious for our upcoming NCL cruise out of Tahiti.  TIA

When we were on Sun years ago certain decks smelled of sewage the entire cruise. We were sure glad our cabins weren't on those decks.

Let's calculate the liklihood that the conditions that were causing a sewage smell "years ago" would persist today, even after a dry dock and complete refurbish.

Let's seeeeeee ...... carry the one, minus ....

Zero.   It's zero.   There's a zero percent chance.

Somewhere during a cruise there is a scheduled program called "How To Run A Floating Hotel".  It is a program with all of the Hotel Senior Staff: General Manager, Food and Beverage Director and severla others.  The General Manager will usually say the headcount of guests and many staff members are on board representing how many countries.

The cruisenext people usually have an accurate count, for the current cruise and an estimate for the next cruise.  Most other staff will have a rough idea of the count.

Since we're on that next cruise (Sun, 11 Oct from Seattle to Miami then b2b to Lisbon), does anybody currently on board know the estimate for the next cruise?

I've not read of Sun sewage smell in years.  We experienced it back in 2010.  We were aft on 10.  Smelled all of aft and partly port side.  Did muster outside aft, port side by life boats and it smelled like sewage. Luckily it cleared after day one.

Not if there was a design flaw.
