vicnsue Posted October 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2022 We have just return from a Celebrity cruise last week and next month we will be sailing on the Radiance of the Seas. Our friends ordered Fre (the brand name) wine at dinner. It is alcohol free and it was surprisingly good. Does anyone know if it is available on the Radiance? ATSEAMYLIFE Posted October 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) Looks like they do, but it's under the Sutter Home name and not Fre. Fleet wide wine list and Gifts & Gear is only showing the Sutter Home non-alcohol wine available. Sutter Home makes Fre. http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/Domestic_Wine_List.pdf Edited October 10, 2022 by ATSEAMYLIFE
vicnsue Posted October 11, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted October 11, 2022 Thank you so much for the information. I spend an hour this afternoon looking for a wine list and couldn’t find one. 🤦🏻♂️

RandomUser123 Posted October 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2022 I completely misread the topic. I had it in my head as "Alcohol, Free Wine" thinking someone was seeing if there was a way to get free wine on the ship 🙂 1

The process removes the alcohol but the wine still tastes like wine, not grape juice. Now it’s not the best glass of wine, but if you cannot have alcohol because of health issues it works.
Ret MP Posted October 11, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2022 Please, nobody take this as a criticism of any type. It's just my feelings: Alcohol Free Wine, to me, is like taking a shower with a raincoat on.
Joseph2017China Posted October 11, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2022 So, a fancy name for Grape juice? So my understanding is that grape juice, is pretty much limited to a few companies, but you can remove alcohol from wine, it really is only grape juice, but now you have a big variety of grape juice?

Joe Ces Posted April 22 #11 Share Posted April 22 Hello, we ae planning on sailing with RCCL again soon, either Liberty or Symphony of the Seas. Does anyone have current information (2024) about alcohol-free wine - Fre or Sutter Home for example - on these ships? Is it fairly available at most bars? Can you buy a few bottles and take them to room? Thank you

Toddcan Posted April 22 #13 Share Posted April 22 I'm not a drinker, but aren't there 2 types of "Alcohol-free" wine? 1. De-alcoholised (removed most, but not all alcohol. Typically less than 0.5% remaining) 2. Sparkling grape juice / fancy grape juice, etc - 0% alcohol - was never made with it. 3. Other??
smokeybandit Posted April 22 #14 Share Posted April 22 Alcohol free wines are typically alcohol-removed.

If the OP was looking for 0% alcohol, a de-alcoholised wine won't give you that. Just something to be aware of in case it's important.

But if you truly need zero alcohol, alcohol free wines aren't what you're looking for.

BND Posted April 23 #18 Share Posted April 23 I have yet to find any alcohol free wine that is worth drinking. The Fre ones suck.
