I think this is super interesting that they oversold. Does this seem like a common occurrence? The rest of the ship looks almost empty based on the availability of cabins. 

Sounds like a horrible offer even if you were interested.

50% of your cruise fare back? Betting that AQ was less than 50% of what you paid!

Some years ago on Princess we dined with a couple who had been called as our ship was oversold.

They offered to move them to a longer cruise (same departure date), upgrade from balcony to suite & $1000 OBC.

THAT'S a deal!

They said no as they traveling with another couple. 

The couple we were traveling looked at us & we all agreed, WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT!
