Do I lose deposit

Hi there…I put a deposit on a cruise in April…we need to change to a cruise 2 weeks earlier…will I lose my deposit…if I make this change…TIA

if it is early saver booking, they are fees as it is considering a cancel and rebook

It all depends. 
 

we have booked on a casino offer and cancelled. The deposit was non-refundable. I didn’t go through my PVP. My PVP called me and offered to reinstate the booking then move it to another date no charges.

That is the point someone here may have done that , but you may call and get a different answer. I know I have called Carnival and got 2 different answers it's all about the rep you get and what they want to do for you.

What happened during the past 18 months where they were very loose with waiving fees is changed fast

I was able to transfer a deposit on a casino offer just last week. You need to call casino booking directly (866) 299-5859.

A lot depends on the terms of the offer you booked. Like others have said, it's probably best to call and see what they can do for you.

I was able to move a casino booking last week with no charge. Went thru my PVP

Casino bookings are usually looser than regular bookings.  I would call the casino desk and tell them the situation - chances are that they will move the date with no penalty.

I’ve changed cruises, but it’s not a casino offer. I typically book early saver and I have moved cruises a few times. You have to pay a penalty of like $200 maybe but everything else transfers. Like if you’ve already bought cheers, or water delivered to the room etc. and your booking number remains the same.

Not a casino offer, but I was able to move my deposit without the fee to a new sailing through my PVP recently because he is magical.  Lol

UPDATE:  The reason we wanted to move our cruise 2 weeks earlier...was because a lot better offer came up...so my PVP simply put the new offer on our cruise and erased the old one....plus we ended up wit 2 cabins, a balcony and inside across from each other....instead of just the 1 balcony...new offer also added EXTRA 1100 Fun Play as well as an extra 200 obc.  SO ALL IS GOOD.....We also had to cancel our Feb Cruise....had not paid final payment so we did get 1/3 of the non refundable deposit back....Very very fair to us.  Thank you all for your replies ....ps....she did mention the rules have changed a week ago...there are penalties  etc 🙂

you got lucky....

we had a better offer come up on a casino cruise and wanted to keep same cruise but rebook with the better offer and was told they could not change to offer code and keep the same cruise.

i was able to do it last week, but then i had to change it back to the original dates and it needed extra approval and i got a lecture about not doing it again. <rolls eyes>
