Rare NMTraveller Posted November 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2022 How do these casino slot tournaments work? Do you purchase entry into the tournament for a fixed amount or do you spend your own money on each spin? Does spinning quickly help?
behtyas Posted November 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2022 You just pay the entry fee. There's no bet amount as it's just hit the button to spin, win the most money after a set time period. Just slap the button like crazy (or don't!) and hope for the best 😁

Do you just stop slapping the button and keep what you have? Edited November 9, 2022 by NMTraveller
wrk2cruise Posted November 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2022 It's a tournament. Only the top 3 (I think) get anything. You spin as quickly as possible to get the highest score. It's just luck of the draw. They usually have a free one on the first night around 10 pm. You may want to try that to see how it works. While they can be fun I don't play the ones with the entry fee because it appears to me the casino is the only real winner when you look at the entry fees and the prize amounts.

One hopes to hit many large amounts 🙂 The machines used are just a row of the existing machines sectioned off (reconfigured a bit for this use) usually 15 machines or so in total and, like others have said, you just keep hitting your spin button to get as many spins (and hopefully wins) in as you can in the timeframe. All machines are configured to be playing the same slot game.

Do you purchase entry into the tournament for a fixed amount or do you spend your own money on each spin? Does spinning quickly help? My wife played in one casino slot tournament and together we also played in a couple of free Captains Club slot tournaments on our recently completed Constellation TA. Here was our experience: The entry fee is purchased ahead of time as mentioned previously. Constellation used 8 slot machines (4 machines in a row x 2 rows). They take your SeaPass card to electronically register you for the tournament right next to the machines. When it is your turn to play, your name is electronically displayed on the slot machine that has been assigned to you. The Casino Host helps out here by calling out the names of the 8 players that are supposed to play. You are then given one minute to play. During those precious 60 seconds, you hit the spin button as rapidly as you can with your right hand and then when the bonus balloons came up on the slot screen, you had to touch them (simulating that you are popping the balloon) with the left in order to secure the bonus points. During the one minute that your right arm is starting to go numb from repeatedly hitting the play button, you can glance up to the upper screen of your slot machine to see your everyone else's score and your position. Your main slot machine screen would occasionally up date you on your position ("You are in 1st place!") as you are wondering if you right arm is going to fall off. When the one minute is up, the winner for that round is declared. Then another group of 8 people then play the next round. For the Captains Club free slot tournament you only got to play once and the person with the highest score from all the rounds win. Rare go.without.you Posted November 9, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2022 I played this last year and it was fun. I was in the last round and ended up winning first place. I received a trophy and I "think" $250 casino credit. I don't really remember. I would have preferred the cash but ok.

I think the free CC slot tournament grand prize was $25 casino credit. The tournament was conducted several times during our 15 night TA sailing.

Rare CruiserKris34 Posted November 6, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 6, 2023 Are these usually in the evening? I don't want to give up pool time LOL 🙂 Thanks, Kris

Unless you win and have to hang around for another round, they don't require much of a time commitment - maybe 30 minutes.
