Mexican Riviera out of S.F.

I have taken over a dozen Mex Riv cruises out of L.A.  Without scientific rigor, it seems that the first and last sea days tend to be cold, not “beach weather.”

I am looking at a Mex Riv cruise round trip out of San Francisco.  The Royal P, Jan 6.  My concern is how the weather will be on the first two, and last two, sea days.  My thought is that these four days will be too cold for my taste!

Does anyone have experience with this itinerary?  Thanks in advance!

We did that cruise last year out of San Francisco.

When we left it was maybe in the 60's and seemed pleasant but not warm for the first two days.

The last sea day returning to San Francisco was just plain cold.

I did this a few years ago in January.  Day 2 out of SF was nice.  On the way back, it was so warm and sunny that I sat in the sun the day before SF.  Seas were calm the entire time and the whole cruise was lovely.  Though, your mileage may vary.
