Sigyn Posted November 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) Finally - a nice Black Friday deal if you like low deposits, and who doesn't?! Here's the press release: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/princess-cruises-black-friday-sale-offers-significant-savings-on-2022-and-2023-cruises-to-destinations-worldwide-301676055.html From Nov. 22 through Nov. 30, guests can choose from 60 sailings under $60 per day (per guest), and 100's more sailings under $100 per day (per guest), taking travelers to Alaska, the California Coast, the Caribbean, Panama Canal and Europe. In addition, guests booking through the sale can take advantage of $1 deposits, meaning those who reserve their sailings to worldwide destinations by Nov. 30 don't have to pay the remaining balance until 90 days before their trip, when deposits typically range between $100 - $800 at the time of booking. Sounds like it's not every cruise, but quite a few are included in this deal. Edited November 17, 2022 by njsmom 3
Rare sonomaphil Posted November 17, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2022 Fine for those who don't have FCD's, useless if you do.

The rates are apparently reduced for the sailings and you’ll still get the OBC for using a FCD to book one of them so I don’t understand why you would say it’s useless. I’ll wait to see what the rates look like before deciding if it’s a deal or not.
cruzsnooze Posted November 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2022 It's a sales gimmick that doesn't effect the cost of the cruise. Pay now or Pay later.
dog Posted November 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2022 You can call to pay $1.00 deposit rather then your FCD.

Been watching a Caribbean cruise for February and Princess raised the price today. It will be interesting what the "sale" will actually yield tomorrow. Not so much Thanksgiving but always happy to go along with a sale!! 😀 Having said that, Princess idea of a sale is questionable!!

rjack22 Posted November 22, 2022 #14 Share Posted November 22, 2022 How do you find the cruises with the $1 deposit? Are they just mixed in with everything else?

Not very well explained. I know it meant for Mon starting at 3am EST and not sure if any 2024 cruises are eligible. they say it can be combined with Black Friday but the $1 is for Nov 28th only good luck
