Is Regent still putting Refections on our beds every evening?

Or like on Seabourn Quest we recently had to ask for it to be delivered as we were expected to use personal devices instead to find out about daily schedule. Nobody liked this at all. And there was bad communication re timing and locations of daily activities. Some tech changes are not really an improvement!

Agree. Was on Mariner last month. Real hard copies delivered each evening to our suite. No change in that regard. What we did not like was that the daily program lacked basic next day's port information. Little or no info regarding logistics such as whether there is a shuttle to town or logistics of where to catch a taxi or a map of the port area.

Those are available at Destinations but you have to ask for it.  Not a stock of the printed copies - they will access the port info sheet you want on their computer and print a copy for you.  I generally do this for ports we'll be in on Sundays to get close-by church info.

Oh, we asked but nothing was offered. Instead we went to usual web sites like whatsinport and got basic info. Not the end of the world, but would have been nice to include it in daily program.

We were on Mariner from 9/21-11/3.  Never a problem getting the port info sheet when I asked for one.  Rene and his staff were always quite helpful to us.

Our experience was different on the same ship at the same time. Good to know for the future, though. Thank you.

Wait.  So you couldn't get the Daily Passages, or the port information?  They certainly used to include the latter with the former, printed.

Got the Daily Passages. Port info was not distributed except for very minimal amount printed in it. We went to front desk team and when we asked for it they claimed they did not have anything to offer us. BTW cold unhelpful front desk was only example on the ship of staff not being friendly and super helpful.

The front desk is not the source of port information…. Maybe that was the problem.

Go to the Destinations Desk, but not when they are passing out the tour bus assignments as they are mostly all in the theater. Go early before the ship docks or the night before.
I have never really had a problem getting port info and at times they have even had a local come aboard with maps etc for those not using the ship tours.

If the front desk did not have basic port info they should have pointed us the vast distance across the room toward the Destinations desk if that was appropriate.

The OP is definitely not talking about Regent. We have only been cruising on Regent since 2017, but have been onboard for 79 nights and have booked another 34 nights and have never heard of Refections. Passages has always been left on our bed at turndown. I have never hear of Refections on any cruise line that we have been on. Passages has always been available on the TV in our cabin as well as being left on our bed. The Destination desk has not had copies of Passages, and in general is not always very helpful, but has had information available, including a map of the local port. If you try to go to the Destination desk in the morning to find an excursion that you haven't signed up for,  you will either find them unavailable at the desk, or you will delay those who have booked in advance by trying to book an excursion that's already boarding. At that point the destination personnel are very busy trying to get those who signed up in advance from getting on their buses.

We've never sailed on Seabourn,  so we don't know their procedure for delivering their bulletin which I assume is actually Reflections, and not Refections. We've looked at Seabourn, but it doesn't seem to work for us as well as Regent does, and we don't plan to book them in the future.

To Thread Starter:  Have been with Radisson/Regent for 20+ years. Never heard of "Reflections" as a daily posting for next-day activities.  Have I missed something?

That document has been "Passages".  That written record--usually two pages--is placed on the bed close to those two delicious chocolates--incident to Staffs nightly "turn-down" service when most passengers are at various dinner venues.

Passages includes anticipated scheduling for next day's activities, including onshore excursions, as to where and when to meet.  Really simple.

Passengers simply need to read stuff which--in hard copy--is clearly presented to them on a daily basis.  No "app" necessary.

GOARMY!
