where to stay for a Orlando cruise

we are booked for a cruise out of Orlando in Jan of 2023.  How far is the port from the airport?    We prefer to stay with Marriott where would you recommend to stay close to the port.  thank you for the help

Hyatt Regency in the airport.  Get off the plane.  Have a good night's sleep.  Take one of many options from the airport to the port the next morning.

Orlando is 50+ miles inland.   Port Canaveral is on the coast.   Search hotels in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach.   There are plenty of hotels there.   Marriott hotels are there.

We stayed at the DoubleTree Orlando the night before boarding. Great Restaurants/Bars within walking distance.   Had Cortrans (by reservation) pick us up and transport us to Port Canaveral the next morning.

How do you plan to travel from the airport to Port Canaveral?

If you search on this, taxi fares are high, as it is a 45–50-minute drive.

There are many Marriott's in the port area. You might look on the Marriott site for the dates you need in the Port Canaveral area. Some will have transport to the ship so look for that.

We have stayed near the airport and used hotels with free shuttles.

 

We also use Go Port Canaveral for transport. They use full size motor coaches (versus vans where you sit in someone's arm pit for the 50 minute ride to the port). GoPort prices have doubled since the pandemic, but they are still cheaper than the NCL transfers.

I usually fly into Orlando a day before do a one way rental car and drive to Port Canveral. I tend to stay at the Residence Inn.
