Megan_Strick Posted December 16, 2022 Author #29 Share Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) OK so there must have been some kind of glitch because now the price are fairly normal. I tried different dates and they were all over $1500. Whew! That was so weird!! I even tried it logged into my account and not. It had the regular price that shows but then added like $700 for me to be able to pick my room. Edited December 16, 2022 by Megan_Strick

I booked a 4 day Baja California cruise on Radiance for December 2024 as a solo in a PT cabin with two portholes for $395.00 incl port fees and taxes and it comes with $50 OBC. You got a deal

Don’t solo passengers pay double as the solo supplement? Prices pp are based on double occupancy.
Rare Eli_6 Posted December 16, 2022 #32 Share Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) That seems ridiculous. I thought this was going to be for a balcony for 4 people. I booked a 4 day, 4 person balcony for a holiday weekend for 1600 and thought I was being screwed. I only booked it because it will require my children to miss zero school and my husband to only miss 1 day of work so that by itself is worth a lot. I would rather pay a little more and be on RCCL or a little less and be on MSC. I've never sailed MSC, but did look at a few dates (three nights out of Pt Canaveral) in early '23. Yacht club cabins were between $3-4k. Instead, I booked a 3-nt Allure in early '24 for under $2k in a GS. Tom

It is in line with the Havana area and (in my experience) less than NCL's Haven. I recently priced a Haven room on the Prima out of Galveston and it was over 9k for 2 people...and it wasn't even a holiday week or anything. Hard pass on that. We had the Prima booked for 2/26/23, very nice cabin - but, at $14,000, decided to jump ship when push came to shove! Instead we booked the Mardi Gras again for that week (aft corner excel) for a steal: ~$2,500 including CHEERS! Tom
staceyglow Posted December 18, 2022 #36 Share Posted December 18, 2022 (edited) A particular travel agent has the 4-day Radiance sailing out of LA for around $100 for most of January and February. You sail midweek, though. Depending on who you talk to, though, it might be the worst ship in Carnival's fleet. 😉 Edited December 18, 2022 by staceyglow

Casino rate... and managed the Celebration for October for about the same! I didn't know how long those offers would last, so I piled on. Plus, I was able to convert our existing Celebration ABC sailing to a casino promo and scored $2,000 OBC... WOWZA Tom
