Embarkation Day Lunch?

We will be sailing on the somewhat hobbled Grandeur OTS in January. Is there a main dining room (not an upcharge venue) open for lunch on embarkation day? We have started to take advantage of this on other lines rather than deal with the hustle and bustle of the buffet. This will be only our 3rd RCL cruise, first since 2015.

Only the buffet will be open and crowded. Later when we were on it, it alternated with the cafe where the pizza was being open. One or the other. 

 

The coffee bar had a few things to eat.

WJ and Solarium Cafe will be open for lunch.

Has it changed then? I did 4 legs on grandeur and WJ alternated hours with the cafe. Maybe they were short staffed and now it's open. Have you done grandeur recently?

Those who purchase the Key program get an embarkation day lunch. It is the chops menu served in the main dining room.

On Enchantment (Granduer's sister ship) now - both were open for lunch on embarkation day and today (our first sea day).

Good to hear. We were short staffed so maybe why they alternated being open.
